I thought I was writing the first chapter of arc 20, but it turns out to be structured more like an epilogue to arc 19, so here we are, one more chapter of arc 19! (20 will begin next week.) Thank you very much! Yeah, all these recent events deserved a proper epilogue/falling action. Jumping straight into the next narrative beat felt weird, so I ended up shunting that forward to the next chapter. VB may have some odd feelings about mages herself! We'll have to see if Jan has anything to say about her, once Heather explains what she saw in the dreams. But meanwhile, it is indeed time for monster hunting.

Also wonder if going from ascension to killing mage was apparently VB's line lol, but then again all old mages (and/or assoc. Ilk) are monsters, from what we've seen. And yeah, Heathers new family are definitely turning into prolific monster hunters.
