Audiobook News!
Added 2022-05-15 16:27:20 +0000 UTCI’ll keep this short!
The first Katalepsis audiobook, comprising arcs 1-4, now has a provisional release date: August 23rd!
Podium Audio, the publisher, has also confirmed that I can let you all know who the narrator is going to be: Marisa Calin. She’s done a lot of incredible audiobook narration before, so I’m really excited to hear Heather’s voice brought to life. I think she’s a great choice and I’m really happy with this.
Simultaneous with the audiobook release, I’m also going to be putting up a proper ebook release of the same book, probably via Amazon. Though that’s nothing to do with Podium. The ebook stuff is all in my hands alone.
This whole process has taken a lot longer than I expected it would; turns out that editing and proofreading 220k words for publication takes more than a couple of months! I’m already (slowly) working on editing the second book (arcs 5-8), so that’ll be next, however long it takes! As always, weekly Katalepsis chapters get top priority for my time, along with the other web-serial project I’m currently brewing up. More on that soon, I hope.
Right now, I’m looking around for an artist for cover art, which is also more challenging than I expected! When I have that, you’ll all be the first to see.
And as always, thank you all for the support! I literally could not keep writing Katalepsis without the support of all you patrons and readers, let alone be planning to bring you more stories. Thank you so much.

Thanks so much! Yeah, I wasn't expecting a narrator on her kind of level; I don't know what I was expecting really, the process is pretty much out of my control, so I'm really pleased and kind of amazed too!

2022-05-15 21:08:22 +0000 UTCWhoa, Marisa Calin has been the voice actor / narrator for 112 audio books!? Many titles just on page 1 that sound like the right sort of atmosphere — lovely, she sounds like a fantastic pick. Congrats & great work on all of it.
