Ep 66 The match is Naruto vs Shino. After this. Since the brackets were changed up due to sasuke’s lateness. So then after it’s Temari vs who ever wins this fight, then the finals. Note I’m being as vague of the match winners for yu know keeping yu blind as best… like me! I love that Kakashi still plays hard to get with guy even though he’s already been got. Everyone was talking up his skills that even tho he lost, he actually was more impressive than Naruto/Neji. Also they mentioned in the preliminary but winning does not mean promotion. Even if you win the whole tourney. I think 1 of you guys said winning tourney was promotion. But its actually not, impressing in the matches is. The reason you should win is so you get more chances to impress

At least this generally means that back when it aired they were buying time for the more experienced animators for upcoming episodes. Kabuto's OHKO on Kiba looks so ridiculous to me as he apparently took out Akamaru as well as if he was fused to Kiba's shoulder...

They are not enemies. However, Kabuto is seen in Anbu attire. Do what you will with that information. Kakashi noted that 2 platoons of Anbu were stationed at the arena and was surprised there wasnt more. Do what you will with that information.
