This is a needle in a haystack and I wouldn't expect it to make it into your reaction rotation any time soon, but when you end up having gone through however many of the more popular shows you should give Gintama a go. Its got a very similar vibe to 'Kaguya-sama: Love is War' with the main cast group dynamic but not so heavy on the romance, also the show makes like 1000's of ultra risky direct references and intentional features of other popular anime/manga (namely One Piece, Dragon Ball, Bleach, Pokemon, Digimon etc.) along with real life celebrities in a way that I've never seen a show do so brazenly and all the while self aware that lawsuits are coming their way time and time again. Its probably one of the funniest animes out there as far as quick wit and absurd humor go, and it has a couple hundred episodes, even the "filler" in this show fits in with the whole thing since plot development is kind of the sideshow but it occurs in more serious mini arcs between the large chunks of adjacent 1-3 episode plotlines of comedy gold. If you ever happen to read this just keep that series in your back pocket for later on if you ever reach a drought or have too many depressing animes going on.

I'd argue Mushoku is less pervy; in Konosuba 'perviness' is always for fan-service but in Mushoku that is only very very rarely the case (mostly just Elinalise). But I agree that it's perhaps more palatable because it's just for comedy and mostly inconsequential.

Okay, I check back on this every couple of days when I load up the Patreon and I'ma just ask this now... What's with these people saying "hurr durr me no thinka they'll lika de konosuba", "it's too pervy for them" and other such random comments. 1. They watched and enjoyed Kaguya-sama, Kaguya may be a romcom, and Konosuba is a fraction romcom (subplot I guess?) but it's similar in the episodic mini-arc quick fire type of humour. 2. As for "perviness", it's less out there than Mushoku (which they finished), Kaguya has a fair sum of dirty humour jokes, has Chika's chest be its own whole plot line, so on. I'm fine with logical reason, but either the people saying they don't see them enjoying it are coping or they just know nothing about them. They'll give it a go regardless and if they really don't like it they may drop it, I think they'll like it or love it, I highly doubt they'll hate it

Can someone enlighten me about the hype behind The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity (genuinely curious)? I want to throw out Fate/Zero again. It came up in polls and barely lost a couple of times. Fate/Zero doesnt have recency bias, but it is a legendary show in Anime that WILL get views, and probably many new first time viewers. People still watch it, because its a show worth rewatching multiple times. I also just believe they would enjoy it and its something they can do at a more relaxed pace of 1 episode a week. They are watching several classics right now, so it might not be the best time to pick up Fate/Zero. I just hope it doesn't get forgotten.

If it was "recency hype", a lot more people would have been reacting to it initially than actually did. The only thing comparable would be Frieren, where there wasn't much hype to begin with, but it build as more word of mouth spread due to the quality of the show, and more people picked it up after it'd been running for awhile. It's odd that Konosuba's on the poll at all given that it's going to be a longer commitment than they indicated that they wanted for this slot. (31 episodes, then there's the movie and the spinoff series)

I actually agree with some comments about Gachiakuta being a shounen. At the end of the day, this is your channel; watch whatever you want. There were people hating on y'all watching Daima/Super when you were doing it. But it's your channel to do what you want with it. That being said, I do think having some variety is always nice, and if Gachiakuta wins, it looks like you'll be watching nothing but shounen for 3 months with the exception of Spy x Family. (which you're finishing soon) Konosuba and Gachiakuta are close in the polls right now, so perhaps whichever loses just replaces Spy x Family when you're caught up with that? Ultimately, we have to accept the outcome regardless of what it is, but you have another 2-3 years worth of shounen uploads through Naruto and One Piece, another month or so of MHA/vigilantes, and then 1.5-3 months of Gachi (depending on if 1 upload or 2 per week), then Spy x Family you finish in 5 weeks, before the end of this year. I'll always love y'all's reactions and respect your decisions, but at the very least I'm glad this poll included 2 great shows that aren't shounen. Flower for romance is a good pick, and we rarely get romance on the channels unless it's a subplot for a shounen lol Konosuba for comedy is amazing if you like the humour it portrays. I won't spoil anything, but you may find it somewhat similar to Kaguya in a certain way (and y'all enjoyed Kaguya)

For the people saying they wouldn't enjoy Konosuba, I'm mildly confused as to how much of their content you have even watched. They laughed at all the slightly edgy stuff and "potty" humour stuff in Dandadan, they seemingly enjoyed Mushoku Tensei, which is pretty edgy/extreme at times with what it covers in some ways, they literally have yet to drop a show (other than One Punch Man (season 3 being an exception for how bad it was animated/directed). Do I think Konosuba is going to be their all-time favourite? No. Do I think they'll enjoy it? They'll know after season 1 more likely than not, but I have yet to see a channel hate/dislike it. I used to watch 3 girls who, for the lack of better terms, were kinda uptight and whined about anime characters being "sexualised" and other things, they enjoyed and finished all of Konosuba. I'd say just let them get to it, and if they enjoy it, they do (we can hope). If they don't, that's life. Steins; Gate is one of the most highly rated and loved anime in history, and they didn't love that, it's life

For everyone leaning toward Gachiakuta because of the recency hype, it could’ve been a solid pick under different circumstances, but I just don’t think the timing works anymore. By the time you guys start watching it and eventually upload the reactions to YT, season 1 will already be over, so it likely won’t perform that well since the hype wave will be long gone. And with how many shonens the channel already has going like OP, Naruto, Mha s8, and Vigilantes, adding another one probably won’t change much in terms of content variety. Since My dress up darling and Apothecary diaries are over, we really need something more lighthearted to fill that space, so a comedy like Konosuba is literally the perfect pick right now

Recency bias kills me. Konosuba is legendary. Only reason I could think of for not voting for it is that Carlie and Ange don’t have the most isekai experience so some of the trope parodies might not hit as hard. That being said Gachiakuta has been fun to watch this season
