Well it's also the simple fact that All Might is this larger than life icon that has solidified his image in peoples minds for decaes, the students never experienced a Japan before the Symbol of peace All Might (though the current situation is basically that). Deku is on of their peers, a friend, they saw him struggle and grow into who he is now at their side.

All Might and Bakugo are so confident and charismatic to win that they feel like they will beat the enemy. Even they are human and can feel for their enemy, they don't feel human. They feel superhuman that they win above all. That is why for Bakugo fights, we see people cheering and getting hyped. Midoriya is not that type of person, if you talk to him or even watch him, you can kinda tell he feels too much for his enemy. It makes you question if he can get it done. Even if he can one shot all might or bakugo, you get the feeling he will hold back to try to "save" his enemy. TBH he is. That is kinda why imo horikoshi picked their final opponent. Bakugo got emotionless monster who is pure evil. Bakugo got battle fight, where he can win by winning/saving All Might. With Deku, his final opponent is an enemy which makes you question if he can save him. His fight is more emotional and about saving his enemy. Bakugo more or less saving someone the enemy is about to kill and beating that enemy.

2025-11-08 19:35:43 +0000 UTCDeku's cape decoy plan was to overcome 2 quirks from Shigaraki to be able to get close to him. One is "Danger Sense" which he just stole from Deku, which is like an alarm sensor to avoid attacks/dangers. The other is "Search" which All for One stole from Ragdoll (the green hair girl from PussyCats hero team) in season 3, which lets him find the LOCATION + WEAKNESS of his target. These two quirks by their own are not that scary, but when they're owned by someone as strong as Shigaraki or All for One, they're like a cheat code... Just imagine that you're fighting Superman, but you can't hide because he'll find you, and you also can't launch a surprise attack because he'll be alarmed before you hit him... :)
