JC Staff have literally worked on hundreds of projects so its hard to say what's their best work, but you could argue its the KonoSuba Movie, since that was meant for theaters

It's okay to not have music playing during a scene. Last scene was good at least. My hope is that because JC Staff were given a terrible time schedule, they made the choice to allocate their resources to more important episodes. The next two episodes cover some of the best fights in the manga, so if it doesn't get better we're cooked.

I hope the rest of the season picks up the pace (huffing the copium) and if it doesn't, then I hope the next anime for this slot is a palette cleanser. The biggest part of the episode is literally colored manga panels the camera pans over, every single episode. Some mouths move and sometimes a cutout of a person jumps into frame like we are in the 1950s or sth. I don't know how we get animation that is nowhere near the same level of Naruto Shippuden episodes when it has been 15 years between the release... We actually waited 6 years for a powerpoint presentation.
