Makino had to be the one to provide them clothing because as she said, Garp doesn't think of these things. Also you guys were talking over this part so you missed it but when Ace, Luffy and Sabo left Dadan's place to be independent, Dadan told Garp what he would do about this because she can't protect them from the people after them if they're not living with her, to which Garp said "my vacation is over, you take care of it" and walked away, tell me how he's a good Grandpa with him acting like this 💀
