2025-11-30 03:02:35 +0000 UTCIt is hilarious to me how little Carlie and Ange (apparently mostly Carlie lol <3) hear/listen to the actual Japanese words being spoken as they’re reading the subtitles. Naruto says “dattebayo” at the end of almost every sentence lol. It doesn’t get translated to subtitles most of the time because it’s just his quirky way of ending his sentences. Like, if an English show had a character who ended every sentence with the word “Yo!” (A la Jesse Pinkman or something), a person who is writing subtitles in another language wouldn’t necessarily translate that “Yo” part every time, would they? It’s not that important. I also notice Ange asking if he’s saying character’s names right when the show is literally pronouncing the names for him to hear lol. Good stuff, guys.

2025-09-13 04:10:33 +0000 UTCEp 13 Yes thud show is a backstory centric type show… too center one may say. But dint worry yu’ll get some many backstory to fill a season… not a joke. Na mr. Angelo, yu nailed the Illusion/Genjusu terminology perfectly. Yu got it man. Yu know what yur talking about. I’d say say theses samurai mercenaries are… we’re on the same level of Mizuki back in episode 1. So yah no worries. Naruto is starting a habit of younger kids looking up to Naruto nii. 2 more and it’s a cult. Number 1 hyperactive, knucklehead ninja. Yup it’s what we know him as today, yu say theses words in that order guaranteed 3 out 5 people know in a group know who yur talking about. I could probably explain how the ice mirrors work… but it’s easier to just say wizards. Ninja are practically wizards in the show.. so from hinge forth, it a jutsu is too complicated to explain I’ll just say wizards. I’m pretty sure Zabuza is only here for Kakashi at this point. Killing Tazuna is like. “Oh right… if there’s time after.” Shutting up now.

I’m always a fan of the “enemies to friends” archetype and it’s especially nice to see here because despite Naruto being a “failure” and Sasuke being a generational talent, they’re still rivals and push each other and slowly become friends

2025-09-05 14:08:44 +0000 UTCIt does get very confusing like nen in HxH. You get it down more and more as the show progresses. They also will call out certain types of jutsu through out the show (ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, etc.) As well any jutsu that have specific circumstances and/or criteria in order to be utilized. They will go into further detail about "hidden jutsu: crystal ice mirrors" in the next few episodes. Naruto is one of the few older anime where I think the over-explaining is actually really needed and appreciated by viewers.
