2025-09-01 19:46:34 +0000 UTCThink you guys are jumping the gun on the captain being arrogant. He's in that position because he's very self aware. He is the best but not once did he dismiss Kaiju #8's power capabilities. He only suggested he doesn't want that added to the mix because he doesn't feel it's necessary. Even when posed with the facts of #9 he accepted that things are changing and was willing to use #8 in other ways. Gin is not stupid, he's just protective of his unit. At the end of the last season he was ready to wipe out #8 when it messed Shinomiya's dad up. Gen is very defensive but certainly not arrogant.
