Sanji in the anime is much worse than in the manga, but that doesn’t change the fact that he is often very weird in the manga. Live action Sanji is what I wish he was in canon, but he definitely isn’t. ‼️ Slight spoilers below Especially after the timeskip (even ignoring the whole Fishman Island arc) the "he isn’t a pervert" argument completely falls apart. But also during Thriller Bark he was very weird - probably the worst pre-timeskip arc when it comes to this gag. Because he is a pervert, his "chivalrous" actions often end up being misogynistic. Kinda sad the the typical anime pervert trope landed on him, without it he would be one of my favorite characters.

Sanji is chivalric gentleman who is desperately trying to please women. Sanji does not act like boa in that he thinks every woman he sees wants to marry him. he just wants to please and make woman happy. Anime did him very dirty by turning him into outright creep and even oda went too far on ocasion, but his character is not a simp. Live action did it better where it is much clearer that he is being charming and not a creep. And while on topic, he is not a pervert either, that title belongs to brook :P or franky, i am sure he would try to argue that he is pervert
