While it’s been 11 years, I don’t know why Ruddy and even yu guys are surprised she didn’t recognize him. She last saw him and remembers him at five… A TODDLER! I didn’t think of Rudy didn’t join the rescue party that Roxy would have died… she’s knew what she signed up for though. This whole episode was just Roxy having a big fat crush on Rudy🤣

And if that seems to make you uncomfortable, what he is talking about is quite common in this world inspired by medieval Europe. It is even the norm, so his metaphor is hardly surprising. Rudy’s not doin that on purpose, y’know, like ‘forget tellin’ about his family and all that. He just gets way too caught up in whatever job’s in front of him and he doesn’t really worry bout the other stuff that ain’t right there with him at the time. He forgot about Sylphy when he left Buena Village to tutor Eris, only remembered her when he was thinkin about waitin till him and Eris hit fifteen and they’d, uh, do the dirty. Then he forgot about his mum when Paul mentioned the missin people and only thought about Sylphy. Then he forgot about Sylphy again til Ghislaine brought up that board of missing or killed folk from the mana disaster. It’s a bloody pattern with him. And finally, which the director for some reason decided to leave out, Roxy’s already been told that Rudeus has a family.
