Ep 20 I love everything I saw with Ururoka and Toga beautiful views. Like the toya episode there’s a special ending theme change too Her parents didn’t even get a therapist, I’m pretty sure that was just the regular Public school Quirk counselor in the school. And carting on the tv tradition a school counselors just bad at their job. Himko Toga out of the fight. Ep 21 If all Might is Iron Man, Is Deku Spider-Man? …SEE MY DEKU MEETS MILES MORALES DREAM IS NOT CRAZY! Vying time is all we need, every second of stalling AFO is another second closer to being Toddlerized and then we finish him… END HIM some people are just too dangerous to be left alive. I hear by dub this Armor’s name the 1-A Arsenal! It fill like the shoe gave up on a good spot to end the season, and was like we’ll pick back off exactly where we left off. Go watch a recap if yu need too. It kinda felt like it just ended… I respect it.. Shutting up now.

2025-08-15 21:20:09 +0000 UTCI know a lot of people think the saddest episodes are ep 11 and 19, but for me it's 100% 20-21. I used to hate toga when I first watched mha, but she grew on me and eventually became one of my favorites. Both Toga and Urakaka's VAs did such phenomenal jobs during these episodes. The soundtrack, voice acting, animation, everything's just so emotional and beautiful. The last monologue from Toga is heartbreaking. She just needed someone to tell her that she was normal, to guide her and show her how to use her powers.

2025-08-15 08:39:41 +0000 UTCIt IS an S-Tier anime but as a Chinese having one of the characters named after a nickname the Japanese soldiers used to called the Chinese they captured and experimented on inhumanely in WW2 although a villain still makes me feel that the author is very insensitive and disrespectful towards the victims of WW2 (furthermore the Japanese gov denied and buried this part of history from their own people). At least that was the main reason I saw it getting so much hate on Chinese platform. But aside from this this anime is top tier.

Obviously, her case was incredibly unique and difficult to handle but it was NOT impossible (as Ochaco showed us here). One girl with an incredibly big heart turned Toga into who she was meant to be. I also love the realization that Toga could have been like, some EPIC "healing hero" or something. She could have been someone who goes to people in need and provides blood for them after serious injury. She could have been amazing. At least she got a moment to be at the end of her life.

Not sure if they had some anime-only or just seeing in animation format felt so good or if the music made it better, im not sure. Like legit went from boring in the manga to one of my top 10 seasons of all time is kinda crazy.

I know for sure I love season 3 of AoT, Entertainment District DS over it. I really like season 2 of MHA very close. I would say it creeping on top5, but prob top 10 for me.

As they mentioned quirks are getting stronger and more complex through the generations which also means that side effects exist as well. She craved blood ever since she was a baby, that's a side effect of her own quirk, she couldn't help it and ended up hurting animals and people

2025-08-15 01:57:51 +0000 UTCI'm an anime only, but as sad as it would be, I feel like Almight has to die for me to truly love the ending. I typically hate main or big character deaths near the end of shows, very few did it in a way I like, including the huge ones that did it, I can only think of ONE that was okay for me... That being said, Almight's "death" was hinted at 4 seasons ago (as of season 8). If they do a power of friendship thing so he lives, it's gonna feel great in the moment, but when everything is complete, I'll feel like it was forced. I think in a perfect world for me, All Might dies, Midoriya feels it through the OFA connection, and then snaps and goes off in the final battle - perhaps AFO meets up with Shigaraki to wrap that plot point up too. I'm sure it'll get a 8/10 minimum for me anyhow, but this year this series wraps up. In 4 years Demon Slayer wraps up, a lot of big shows are now ending

But another thing I'd mention, I don't know if you'd want it to be brought up for Golden Jellies instead or something, but there's an official AMV on the co-producers youtube channel for "Curtain Call" (the most recent MHA opening) it's titled "「カーテンコール」優里 "ヒロアカ" スペシャルミュージックビデオ／『僕のヒーローアカデミア』7期第2クールOPテーマ アニメMV" and goes over the whole of season 7 across the 4 minute song, it wraps and shows the overlaps of a lot of the seasons themes - even if you don't react to it, I'd recommend watching it~

2025-08-14 23:52:43 +0000 UTCsomething relatively small that i don’t see people mentioning is himiko apologising to ochako, not only for stabbing her, but for yelling at her. which sounds so insignificant, but to me it really shows that she is just a girl who was completely misunderstood. she isn’t evil, she never wanted to be a bad person to the point where even in an all out war, she’s apologising to someone for yelling at them. she could have been an amazing doctor or healing hero if she had been brought up by better people. she’s absolutely one of my favourite characters, and it’s been so nice to see you guys understand her

All most people need is just the smallest amount of validation. Something to let them know that they are seen. That they are alive and present, and that that's not a bad thing.

It was not directly mentioned, but it can be deduced that during those dark years when AFO was ruling everything and All Might was still young and quirkless, the idea of peace was so foreign to everyone... which made people come up with a rule to keep your distance (3 meters) away from everyone... kinda like COVID days, except that you'll get violence instead of a virus. Now imagine that All Might, a quirkless teenager, decides to put an end to this, and then transforms the world to a safe place where it is normal to go to school, walk the street with smiles,...etc. The symbol of peace now seems even more fitting for him.

I'm really glad you both ended up liking the show (especially season 7) as much as I do, especially since I was one of the people hyping it up lol. I'm an anime only fan, so from now on I'll be at the same place as you guys when it comes to knowledge, which will be cool, I think it could be fun to actually get to speculate about stuff haha. The card being shown at the end of the episode is important because of who the owner is, and what they were doing last time we saw them. Armored All Might is so cool, and I feel like I remember Carlie predicted an Iron Man type situation with All Might at some point? I fully agree with your MVP choices btw, with All mIght being so badass and Uraraka basically saving the whole battlefield, let alone Toga, with her awesome quirk evolution and speech. Over the past couple of years I developed a weekly routine of getting home from my overnight shift at work on Wedenesdays and watching your new MHA reactions, and it's become a part of my week that I geniunely really look forward to. In astronomy, apparent magnitude is a star's brightness from earth, with magnitude 6 being about the faintest star the human eye can observe. It's something you can see but only with extreme difficulty - just like Ochako seeing the humanity in Toga.

2025-08-14 10:40:10 +0000 UTCI think the tragedy of villains like Toga is how easily preventable they are. Her hearing those words from Ochako was enough for her to decide to give life. Imagine if her parents/counsellors took that approach instead of telling her to suppress herself and not smile because it looked ‘deviant’. Which lead to her eventually cracking. Also the detail of her not wanting a villain name because all she ever wanted was to be herself and accepted the way she is. Plus that call back to My Villain Academia where Curious interviews her and asks her about wanting to live a normal life is just so well done. And big up Ochako for wanting to reach her heart, much harder than capturing/killing the bad guy. She’s a true hero through and through. So great seeing how she has come so far. Side note All Might ragebaiting AFO is the funniest thing ever because all he had to do to win was ignore him and go help Shigaraki. But I guess as was said Shiggys hatred is melding within him and he just couldn’t resist the challenge.

I love Deku and his story of how he becomes the number one hero, but I have to admit that my favorite subplot (and my mainplot) was Toga's story. Because it makes you see what's wrong with this world, with the system. Why the villains want to destroy it so much, why they treat the Heteromorps so badly, why they look down on the heroes when shit goes down. Not much time have passed since quirks appeared and the world is still getting used to it. And I think it gives the series a context where you can see what it really means to be a hero. Protecting the masses and fixing the black spots in the system (see Lady Nagant for example) fighting for ideals and face the consequences head on.

Just a little detail you might've missed up: the fight between AFO and OFA takes place at Tatooin Station, which is the exact same place where Deku sorts of reminds All Might what a true hero should be, even if quirkless, when stepping up to save Bakugo. The building where he gets the flashback of that scene where Deku asks him on top of a building if someone can be a hero even if quirkless is exactly the same one from that original scene. So it's actually so meaningful and full circle when he stands up and realizes he can still do something and be the Mightiest Hero even without OFA. That's exactly what Stain was talking about, that was all set into motion since that dialogue between them in s6. 10/10.
