My Hero 7x18-7x19 FULL REACTIONS!

Peak is peaking

My Hero 7x18-7x19 FULL REACTIONS!

Comments

7x19 For an episode called “I AM HERE” All Might sure wasn’t here for much. But I chose to see it as a preview and a double meeting, symbolizing that all the Todoroki family were there for Toya. Good for Deth arms. He just moved. I hear by dub this combo (FROST SPEED!!!) I always saw that the entire Hellish Todoroki family needed to be the ones to handle Toya, I just never could figure how to get mom and siblings on a battlefield that makes sense. While guess that’s why I’m not a personal storytelling ne. Toya (Dobi) Todoroki. Done . I’m with Mrs. Carly the whole Hellish Todoroki should be MVP. The MVP section hasn’t been personal for two season. But I think if not the whole then Shoto. The others were bravely just holding him back to by time for the refugees to get as far as they could. But Shoto was the one now using full power to End his super nova saving everyone from a burning death. Shutting up now.

Shota Tsunamura

7x18 No the goal at least for me is to just get AFO Down to being too young to fight back, then END him. He’s too dangerous to be left alive, honestly I’m not even banking on him being easer to take down if he gets to 9/5 he’ll child energy boosting him too. Ashido’s horns have grown! Dose that mean she files them down? Or did they grow out of a power boos? Or maybe her emotions? Thank yu Maneta. Finally someone here acknowledges that dark shadow is just not a quirk or an extension of Tokoyami. He’s a being with thoughts and fillings, hates and likes, and Shane on those who thought of dark shadow as just a tool. The MVP is broken. AFO took everyone down. Including gigantiomakima. Yet we’re giving to Shinzo, who even admitted he barely had control of him. This is C&A’s show so I’m down for letting them chose who they like, but let’s stop trying to reason why they chose their favorites yah? Shutting up now.

Shota Tsunamura

Besides all the good and sad parts in EP 19, i always find it also really sad, that Ida's only thing he did this season is act as a transportation device. He was completely useless and couldn't do anything else besides that. I wish they would have stationed him somewhere else where he would have been able to do more and just use another transportation device or teleport or whatever.

Thanad

Agreed. Endeavour is an incredibly well written character. For a side story, Horikoshi really knocked it out of the park with the Todorki family. However I think people take this a bit too far. While Endeavor is well written and it makes sense to like his character arc, to make excuses or attempt to justify his behavior is gross. It actually goes against the story itself. Endeavour himself knows he's terrible and no matter how good he is from now on, that won't ever change what he's done. That is the message his arc conveys. Natsu's entire character was included to show not everyone can forgive him and that's perfectly okay. He is an abuser and always will be. Not in the sense he'll always abuse people, but in the sense that this is an action that can never be erased. It's permanently on his "record"

Green Oak

wow omg some of these comments defend endeavour’s abuse like they’re getting PAID to 😭 endeavour is a well written character i agree with u carlie & ange! and i feel like the polarising reception to his character is understandable. like imagine if our #1 hero was outed as a rapist and abuser, i would feel SO conflicted. he has genuine atonement but no one owes him forgiveness, especially the people he hurt. but he’s not atoning for forgiveness anyway, and that’s what i like. he doesn’t expect forgiveness, he just wants everyone to be happy even if it’s without him (when he imagines the family dinner, him getting them a new house, etc) i hate him for who he was but im happy hes trying to be better, and not trying to "fix" the damage thats already been done! 👍 im thankful u guys dont just skirt around his past!

Rina Tahir

Carlie being drenched in tears is literally me every time I watch a reaction of this episode. And after watching your reaction its the same thing. The Todoroki family arc is amazingly perfect. You guys are not in the wrong with the Endeavor hate. People are just ignorant to change even if its 2d characters.

VacantHero

I was so glad I watched this episode by myself the first time, when I tell you I was sobbing and heaving 😭😭 it was bad. There is SO many moments that absolutely sent me in this one. “I won’t let you die alone” “Everybody’s watching” the whole family showing up, Shoto showing up at the last moment to stop Toya. And then “die, Scum Dad. Die, family. Me too…die.” 😭😭😭 that absolutely ended me. Dabi has been a favorite character of mine the whole series, but after season six there is a small part of me that could really relate to Dabi/Toya. So this storyline absolutely kills me. 😔 This might actually be my favorite episode of MHA (or maybe any anime ever.) “This sub plot is my main plot.” << lol, well said, Ange!

Kiribukai

I'm with you man

The King of Raw

God dammit I cried. I'm a 36 year old man. I happen to think giving it to the Todoroki family as a whole is the ONLY professional decision LOL. =P

The Great Santini

This was so well put 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Carlie & Ange

I've lost count of how many times I've cried during episode 19

Nepeta

When iida hits the floor and he shouts at todoroki saying “thanks to you im finally becoming who i want to be, so you should also become who YOU want to be” Not only is it great emotional writing for shoto’s *endeavor* to become a true hero for himself, for others, and his family But it’s also a callback to what shoto said to iida in the stain fight “If you want me to stop, then stand up and show me who you want to be!”

Aaron Ly

Ep 19 has definitely gotta be the most emotional I’ve seen Carlie 😭 that episode always gets me. Its just done and set up so beautifully with so much weight. WHEN WILL WE EVER SEE ANGE TEAR UP !!😂😭

Anthony Julian

☠️

blacknight01

Come on guys... EP18 MVP is surely All for One XD. Both Shouto and Endeavor deserve MVP for EP19.

Aizensalami

Among all the perfect things in EP19, the most perfect thing was how Endeavor said "Rei" as he apologizes at the end! The way he said her name was the best piece of voice acting in MHA in my opinion. It sounded very real, like how a real person would say it in this situation, he momentarily forgot he's in an anime 😭

Aizensalami

The Endeavor haters are all a bunch of losers irl who have daddy issues and project their real abusive dads onto the fictional character of Endeavor. Thats why they hate that he gets a redemption arc. They want revenge against their fathers and don't care if they try to change. Seeing Enji change and become better triggers them. Basically all the ppl who simp over the different League of Villain members and genuinely believe they are justifed are all social rejects who would also commit mass murder if they had the same powers as their favorite villains.

Naughty Boruto

There's so much to comment on here, but I wanna do a clarification: Dabi DID NOT AWAKEN THE ICE QUIRK, it isn't a Quirk Awakening and Endeavor says that clearly. Dabi is experience a "fight or flight response", Dabi's body forcefully made the ice quirk activate only to save him. It's hysterical strength from his subconscious, which is why Enji is hit so hard by it. It's not that his son was perfect all along, it's that his son was willing to die to be seen and he never fully acknowledged that passion in his son. He never truly looked at him or he would have already confronted that Dabi was always killing himself for his father love.

Amir Shipp

Was waiting for the reaction to Hawks becoming Walks😭😭😭

Igoholic

i really love discussion !

지원

Endeavor is one of my top 5 MHA characters but I can understand why some people may not like him especially since it may hit close to home for some people. What I love personally is how none of his kids reactions are demonized. Natsuo is not in the wrong for not wanting contact with him and Fuyumi is not wrong for wanting her father. They’re all valid and I think the same goes for the audience’s perception of him too. Also ep 18 MVP gotta be AFO. We love to hate him but he took mount lady, Tokoyami, Machia, Hawks, Inasa out and left to go help Shigaraki. It gotta be him. Episode 19 I’d say you’re right it could be anyone. Very much a group effort to stop Dabi who has basically become a bomb and is about to take everything in a 5km radius. Endeavor staring Touya and resolving to die with him. Also if Rei, Fuyumi and Natsuo hadn’t come the explosion would’ve gone off earlier and IIda wouldn’t have got their in time with Shoto. Speaking of IIda, big up him because he saved everyone here with his legs. My personal bias would say him but I can be fair 😔. And the man of the hour, his families hero, Shoto. Coming in clutch due too IIda and saving his whole family from that explosion. Engine and Half cold-Half hot, a dynamic duo indeed. Plus All Might’s speech to them was so sweet, but what is he up to hmmmmm. If I could I’d put the whole family+IIda in the MVP box too.

rae

Exactly!!!! I've definitely seen maaaany comments online that say Endeavor is worse than almost all the villains in this show.🤯 The Todoroki family's story is up there with one of the best things ever put to screen so its gutwrenching to see everyone hating on Endeavor so much after everything hes strived to accomplish. Especially because most of those exact same people cheer/root for Shigaraki, Toga, Dabi etc🤦‍♂️ (Which im all for the bad guys turning good even if you can't forget their past. As long as they put in effort to redeem themselves.)

Devin Eleven

lets forgive shigaraki and save him but the hero who's trying to change who's never killed innocent people who wants to change and wants his family to be happy even if he is not with them, true repentance and atonement. yeah fuck that guy save the mass murdering psycho lol like Uravatiy said how saves the hero's! also if Bakugo a abuser and bully can be forgiven why cant endeavor.

Marsuvies Black

also afo def deserves mvp for the first ep!!!

Jay rellim

just because there is someone worse doesn’t mean you should forgive him, what kind of logic even is that. its like saying “oh that guy killed just 5 people hes not as bad as the one who killed 20”. yes he was saving thousands of people but then he was coming back home and beating his kids and wife. and getting his frustration out on them. his wife ended up in a mental hospital and burned their child face. we saw them as 4y olds vomiting on a floor, and that was happening constantly. yall can’t just forget about it because he decided to change all of the sudden they were under the same roof for 16+ years and didn’t know anything about shoto and each other. they were just tools for his goal, i will never blame natsuo for not wanting to forgive him or have any communication with him. it’s been YEARS. just because your abuser decided to change suddenly when he hit his 50s doesn’t mean you have to forget or forgive.

kejihxv

young AFOs VA is levi i think lol

Jay rellim

People forgive their abusers but yall can't forgive Endeavor😭 - He is not NEARLY as bad as most of the Villains from this show or a couple Hundred Thousand REAL LIFE fathers living on earth right now! He's LITERALLY a Pro Hero trying to atone for his actions. I get not liking him and he's not entitled toward or for anyone's forgiveness but come on now... (Edit, just look at any history book or any recent news article or court case. There are waaaaaaay worse fathers out there than Endeavor (who don't even try to make amends or are apologetic) and it's not even close.

Devin Eleven

Being worse than Toga is wild lol, I know endeavor was a shitty father but at least he's never killed innocent people. Toga's killed innocent people because she wants to "be who she wants to be"

Jonny Anyanwu

pretty sure the 4th movie characters made a cameo too but ppl didnt notice bc the movie wasnt out yet when this episode aired

Tigerclaw

Tigerclaw

I think AFO def MVP for ep 18 then I gotta fight for anyone else tbh for ep 19 I beg lol and this is coming from someone who doesn't mind Endeavor he's cool but def not mvp.. ofc my personal vote would be Shoto, and its kinda sad how he's actually kind of swept to the side in his own storyline but this ep is actually his Rising chapter, which rising chapters are where named characters rise above their weaknesses and fully becoming what they have been striving to be (bakugo's rising ep was when his body moved on its own and he got stabbed for deku instead in s6) its a culmination of all his growth and experiences to get where he is now and as his family said, be the family's hero. Plus I just think his sequence was the highlight of the ep with him running to toya.. the music was amazing and then flashing to his younger self... so peak..

Void The Rose

Now the whole family has scars...

MJAnime

Todoroki storyline easily the best in the show for me personally. I was really surprised when you guys started this show but I’m glad you did this journey has been amazing💚

Shroomy

There are many families in real life like the Todoroki family, and fathers like Endeavor. In my opinion, I can’t forgive him—he’s worse than Shigaraki and TOGA , though not as bad as All For One.

지원 우

I am here - All Might

Gavin fox

Afo with levi Va is epic and endeavor in my opinion I can't forgive he is the real villian in this anime for me

지원 우

Just absolutely peak! The Todoroki family has made me an emotional wreck!😭😭😭 Very good writing for these characters. The whole class has come so far. Im so glad you guys decided to watch this series!

Rob V.

I agree one guy is a school bully guy and the other guy is a very very bad daddy.

지원 우

Great reaction like always! I think MVP should be Shoto he inspired/saved Iida and All Might trusted him to save thousands of people who could’ve got blown up without his final move. Also he’s the hero of his family :) just my opinion

IQLou

Are there plans to watch vigilantes before season 8 comes out?

Chris C

Waiting for ep 21 is killing me lol

Jorthegreat

❤️❤️❤️

Carlie & Ange

I feel like discussions often fail to differentiate between liking a character AS a character and liking them as a person. Endeavor and Bakugo are great characters but if I lived in that universe I wouldn't be friends with either of them. I like their characters but dislike them as people.

James Bell

When Iida shouted at Shoto to become the kind of person he wants to be and it cuts to the flashback, I first took it as Shoto thinking the kind of person he wants to be is the type of person who writes his mom after she burned him, and who tries to keep socializing with his classmates and connecting personally with them even though it doesn't come naturally to him given his earlier personality, and that scene DESTROYED me emotionally. The little personal things he's kept doing all along despite his upbringing make him such a true hero in my eyes.

Cows

Death Arms' arc wrapped up 5 Wees kids and teacher arc wrapped up Stain's arc wrapped up Ida's arc wrapped up Entire Todoroki family's individual arcs wrapped up All Might vs AFO Fight setup Cameos from all major characters from first 3 movies making them officially CANNON This episode is the definition of PEAK

ssgutd

I think the main take away from their story is meant to be that atonement is the only way to right your wrongs but even then, no one owes you forgiveness and it is an individual choice as to whether someone decides to give it. Endeavor did earnestly atone however and that’s the only honorable response. Accept you are not entitled to any forgiveness and atone anyways.

Tyler Owens

I like the comments because I’m one of those people who understands Endeavor and his development, but still don't like him and can’t forgive him. On my first watch, I liked Endeavor and was just happy about his improvement. But on my second and third watch, I just couldn’t stand him anymore and saw him more as the true villain. I don’t know if it’s because I grew up and realized more things, or because I watched the horrible things he did to the Todoroki family so many times that I can’t forget or forgive as easily. That’s why I like that Dabi doesn’t forgive him in the end—because I wouldn’t either if I were him. I also agree with Shoto and Natsu’s perspective: they want to see Endeavor grow, but that doesn’t mean they’ll forget.

Ale

"Dat shit was heavy as shit" - Quote of the show

Maxime Goettelmann

Dabi having had the ice quirk all along is such a knife twist. That moment in particular always gets me the hardest in this episode. And Ange, I am 100% with you on Endeavor. Phenomenal character, phenomenal writing. You really do not see many big battle shonen out there that would handle this kind of character in this kind of way, and it's a huge part of why I rate My Hero so highly. (And you guys have probably got it by now, but young AFO is Levi).

Trav

Shinzo definitely deserved some acknowledgement for vibes, but AFO wiped out everybody - with ease too. Remember how much everyone struggled with Machia? AFO one shot him, and put the rest of the heroes in the dirt. Fully agree that Endeavor is the best written character in the show, though my personal favourite will always be All Might.

MisterRathrion

The episode title "I Am Here" being a double meaning for the Todoroki fam showing up for Toya 😭

Ryan Waselik

All for one not MVP??

Bourbon

Across the week is what ange said xD like 10 seconds into the video

Nermin Selimovic

hell yeah, will the others be uploaded in a moment as well or later?

Luis Bandelow

ITS TIME

PeachBrune

That's such a crucial point. What makes Dabi's story so tragic is its realism. He wasn't born a monster; he was meticulously created by his father's cruelty and neglect. In real life, so many people who are labeled as "villains" or "broken" are really just victims whose trauma has consumed them. Dabi is a chilling reminder that villains are often made, not born.

Duskirahwan

Endeavor imo is one of the best written character and prob my top 5 favorite. But i completely understanding people who thinks he is scum. In the real world, Endeavor got a 2nd chance because he is the popular hero or rich. What he did is unforgiveable to anyone’s perspective and usually warranted no 2nd chance. But we followed his journey and saw his growth plus we see his thoughts so we know its genuine. Plus you have to consider the redemption only took 2 months in world. If my friend did that shit, then 2 months later was “redeemed”, i wouldnt believe it.

Ultimate Winner

I think it should be Rei. Everyone assumed Shoto would get there somehow. But Rei and the game already being there trying to cool him offf was cherry on top.

Colton Piper

Carlie and ange I just want you guys to realize something that endeavors atonement arc is not meant for everyone to immediately like endeavor all of a sudden because that is not the case because there are still some people who still aren't going to like endeavor and it's not about people missing the point of endeavors character there are just some people who can't forgive endeavor for what he did which is understandable because even though I like endeavor now I still can't forgive all the horrible things he did to his family people are going to have different opinions on characters

Maya Coleman

Dang, you're not gonna give AFO mvp for ep 18 despite holding his own against multiple heroes, defeating everyone, stealing Hawks quirk and escaping for Shigaraki? They ultimately failed to hold him there so i'd say AFO succeeded the most out of anyone. Also idk if you didn't notice or simply did not point it out but the movie characters were watching the final battle live which is a nice touch.

Aser Studios

Endeavor just noticed that Dabi has Rei's quirk which means that everything he did to get a perfect son was all for nothing, as Dabi being the first son already had both quirks. But yeah the todorokis are my main plot too ❤️‍🔥, and I like seeing sincerely remorseful and atoning characters like Endeavor. I guess it's a matter of tolerance degrees (the todoroki kids represent them, from lowest to highest we have toya, natsuo, shoto, fuyumi), but I share Shoto's approach here, not forgetting but rooting for improvement in bad people, better than nothing or worse. Anyway it's a terrible day for rain 🌧

Hani

Nah screw Mineta. Then, now forever. Anyway mvp for me is All for One or Hawks. My boy or the villain. Hella bias, dont care. He acted as the leader, to stall afo as long as possible! Plus he gave that little stab at the end before losing his power. AFO said every wound makes rewind faster. Even in defeat, he still did whay he could. Afo won so he prob the real mvp. Hawks for my vibes Mvp for 2nd one is Endeavor, he cause all of this for us to have such cool plotline! Joking i prob give it to Dabi, bro i love his VA. For these episode, everyone that featured hard is a MVP in any other episode. Lida bro he would win mvp even in some of the most peak episode. Todoroki, Shinso, Mina, even All Might moment was so cool for vibes. So there is no hot take imo. Unless you say deku or bakugo as mvp who didnt even show up😂

Ultimate Winner

todoroki family storyline is the best one in mha by a large margin

Jeff

I feel like shoto or rei should have gotten mvp in my opinion and also all for one should have gotten mvp for episode 18 because he completely beat the heroes and he stole a heroes quirk and he also caused alot of damage and he did more in the episode then anyone else and he didn't just run away ange he saw that all the heroes were knocked out and was like since I dealt with everyone else here I am going on to my next plan to help shigaraki and take one for all

Maya Coleman

Finally 😭😭🙌🏼🙌🏼🔥

Anthony Julian

this family and endeavor hits close to home for me and i understand when ppl say they still hate him, dabi didnt forgive him either, thats ultimately horikoshi's message, different members of the todoroki fam react to endeavor trying to redeem himself in different ways, toya hates it, natsu doesnt accept it, shoto is not forgiving but willing to see the change and fuyumi accepts it, i thinkk endeavour is the most well written character in the show. ultimately the show says its upto u to decide how to approach an abuser in your life trynna redeem themself. sorry for yapping

Bleach_glazer-617

As Ange said the Todoroki's is the main plot. The whole AFO vs OFA is a great superhero vs supervillain story. But the Todoroki's story is just as good, but with the bonus of more drama.

Colton Piper

Amazing episodes and amazing reactions 🔥 ! I wanna talk about Endeavor because I loved the conversation that you had at the end of your reaction. Endeavor is, to me, the best-written character in MHA (with Bakugoat right behind him). His evolution from the beginning to the end is handled perfectly and he’s easily in my top 3 characters that I love the most in mha. But one important thing about his redemption arc is that it’s not designed to make everyone love him it’s meant to show his growth, his remorse and his will to atone for what he did to his family. Even with all his changes and even if today Endeavor is a great hero and a much better man, some people will never forgive him. And that’s okay because what he did in the past is objectively awful and, for many, unforgivable. That’s actually part of what makes his story so powerful. True redemption doesn’t require universal forgiveness. Endeavor himself doesn’t ask for it because he knows he doesn’t deserve it. He’s simply trying to do the right thing now and in the future, for his family and for the people he protects as the Number One Hero. So when someone can’t forgive Endeavor, it doesn’t always mean they’re missing the point of his atonement arc it means they’re reacting honestly to the gravity of his past actions. It’s not about being right or wrong, it’s about personal values and how each of us defines redemption. I personally choose to appreciate the "new" Endeavor, just like Shoto, Fuyumi, and Rei, because I value his efforts to change and the weight he carries every day. But I also respect those who, like Natsu or even Dabi, cannot let go of the past. Both stances are valid and that’s exactly why Endeavor is such an amazing and layered character. Sorry if my english is a bit confusing I’m French.

Arnaud Leroux

Hahahaha the disrespect towards hawks. Thank you for the good laugh.

Colton Piper

I find Toya having the ice quirk to be one of the most tragic reveals in this series, it was like a spit to endeavor's face , like the universe asking -"is this what you wanted so bad", endeavor hurt his family so much just to have the quirk and now his first born had it in him the whole time, like asking Enji if it was really worth getting it at the cost of his son's life. Endeavor apologizing to Toya and his family is the only moment in the show that made me shed a tear. this episode was so good, the sound track, the animation, all might squaring up one last time against Afo(hopeful not last) the family coming together for Toya and the finale to Shoto's character arc. man ts was so good. the best MHA episode in my opinion. ps Afo for ep 18 mvp

Bleach_glazer-617

absolutely HATE Endeavor. I am sick to my stomach. Dabi having an ice quirk this whole time is the ultimate proof that Endeavor is a selfish, abusive monster, not a hero. His disgusting ego and obsession with power were so blinding that he couldn't see what was right in front of him. He saw a child in pain, a body that couldn't handle the heat, and instead of helping him, he threw him away like trash. He broke his own son. The potential was ALWAYS there! The perfect combination of fire and ice he was so desperate for existed in his firstborn son, but he was too proud and too cruel to even LOOK. All that pain, all that death, all the horror that Dabi has caused it's all Endeavor's fault. He didn't just fail as a father; he created a villain. He is the architect of his family's destruction. Imagine the hero Toya could have been. Powerful, balanced, maybe the greatest hero ever. Endeavor didn't just miss that; he actively DESTROYED it. There is no redemption arc that can ever make up for this. He's not a flawed hero trying to be better; he's a villain who got a hero's license. I will never, ever forgive him for what he did to Toya.

Duskirahwan

I would give it to Rei for MVP. Her going to cool down Toya lead to both Fuyumi and Nastu going as well. Which is why Shoto was strong enough to do that. Without Rei, Shoto's Glacier would not have been strong enough to cool Toya. Also the score in both of these episodes are great. We have end AFO's theme slightly remixed to sound way more evil and scary with (18:45). Then, the score that plays right after Rei's quirk awakens in Toya (30:30 to 31:30). Then right around 36:40 when Shoto comes in to fully cool off Toya.
