2025-09-04 21:37:32 +0000 UTC17:55 you have no idea just how many spoilers are in the books themselves. So many of what seem like off handed comments or throw away lines are actually straight up spoilers several books later when you’ve completely forgotten about it. It’s crazy when you reread.

I was really excited for what the interactions would be between them then I forgot this isn’t a slice of life anime where everyone lives happily ever after

Also the reason Rudues was able to smell Roxy is because he has been smelling her panties I mean the "holy Grail" so much that he is able to distinctively identify her now.

2025-08-09 05:09:14 +0000 UTCSpeaking of Rudy being gifted in magic but lacking talent in swordsmanship, it’s a bit sad the anime showed many things during the university arc but left out the dialogue between Rudy and Badigadi after their duel. It also skipped the term Fighting Spirit (Battle Aura or tōki), explained and mentioned many times in the novel at this point in the story. I haven’t found any comments about it under previous episodes, somehow. In Mushoku Tensei, Fighting Spirit is mana used by warriors subconsciously to enhance their physical abilities and strength. It also gives them the power to overcome most mages. In the novel, Badigadi told Rudy: “I will receive that, and if you manage to do any damage through my Fighting Spirit, it’s your win.” That's why he was sure of his victory. Without it, that scene with the blow doesn’t make sense to me. Since Rudy can’t use Fighting Spirit, he’s weaker in battle than an average swordsman, which is one reason he could never beat Eris or other swordsmen without relying on magic.

Give the viewer time to process and make assumptions and predictions. And the last 2 episodes pair well together cuz of the controversial nature of ep23, and the finale episode will try to wrap up everything and “attempt” to reason out the events of ep23

And yeah I felt the same uneasy way for the same reasons, but this is exacly why I love this show. It is so well placed and framed. It questions so many moral things other shows don't for obvious reasons. I can't wait to see your reactions for the last few episodes. And as always, thank you so much for the passionat hard work. <3

2025-08-08 20:39:23 +0000 UTCFrom what I remember from the LN, Paul was wasting away at the inn with nothing to do, because without Rudy (or Roxy) they didn't have the necessary firepower to make it far into the Labyrinth. So when Rudy came to the inn Paul was slightly delirious, at first thinking this was a dream, but once he saw Elinalise he realized it wasn't and pulls himself together. The anime is less explicit about this, but Paul essentially went from thinking this is just some weird dream to 'oh shit this is really happening'.
