2025-07-30 21:45:37 +0000 UTCAnother reason for Edgeshot to get MVP over Mirko (even though I absolutely love her) or Best Jeanist is that he encourages them to keep fighting. Mirko tries that hard again because of what Edgeshot says to her. I also love the conversation that happens right before Edgeshot sacrifices himself about how it's the adult's responsibility to give themselves for the next generation. Like sure it would have been great to get to know Edgeshot more before this happened but I love that he does it with no hesitation because this is an adult sacrificing themselves for a child so that child can live.

All of your thoughts about Bakugou's 'death' - I remember thinking a lot of the same things when I read it for the first time. A lot of people - and I mean A LOT - were convinced it was real, and it just didn't feel right to me, like it was a mix of too dismissive of an important character and little too callous. Like Carlie said, 'oh their arc's complete. Don't need them around anymore.' MHA is (usually) better than that kind of writing. I don't know, it's just a lot of fun to watch reactors who clearly think about the story similarly to how I do. :)

2025-07-30 19:23:04 +0000 UTCAgreed on the edgeshot reasoning, I wish he was set up more as a mentor role for one of the characters maybe or something along those lines to make the potential sacrifice feel more impactful but theres also the perspective of he's just a real hero type who is stepping up to save a life when he can. Either way I still love his moment yelling out to mirko and smiling to jeanist.

2025-07-30 19:06:14 +0000 UTCIf I recall correctly, after last episode aired there was a 2 week break rather than a single week because of a holiday or something, so the wait for a status update on Bakugo was even more cruel 🫠 I agree with your sentiments about Bakugo and Endeavor's attacks still moving the needle along to some degree against Shigaraki and AFO respectively. I feel like MHA does a good job of that, making it narratively relevant while the characters still play their part in making a dent. Love the reactions to this peak content, thanks as always guys!

Then we lose Bakugo, Dabi is awakened & AFO is back to his prime body. And all hope feels lost again. Gotta love Deku making his epic Goku like appearance 😂 As for Bakugo, his heart still isn’t beating. Edgeshot is pumping into his heart as much as he can but definitely racing against time.

"If villain then why hot?" xDD I'm happy that Edgeshot gets MVP here. Love how he immediately stepped up going this kid is not dying on my watch! That's true heroism! Same with Mirio, while what he did might have seemed like a desperate move (I mean it was), I think it was Mirio's innate nature of trying to look for the positives, the humor in everything that helped him come up with such an out of the box way to stall Shigaraki, since NO one would have thought to pull a move like that in that situation. SO good! Can't wait for next episode!!
