2025-07-21 17:32:54 +0000 UTCSorry for the long response but to add to @m1gz's note on the Shigaraki growth: Recall the episode of the remedial class where Shoto and Bakugo have to help the problem kids. All the kids were arrogant in part because they knew that their quirks were inherently better than those of the adults. One of the teachers cites "quirk singularity theory" which states that within a few generations quirks would evolve past the limits of human biology (like many lower end Nomu who's minds can't handle certain quirks or too many of them). It was revealed later that the Doctor was actually the one who proposed the theory and that only All For One believed him. Shigaraki effectively has become the culmination of that theory as the doctor was able to engineer his body to handle the massive number of quirks All For One controls (as he practiced with his Nomu). His body's solution to the dilemma was to be able to grow at an insane rate, on command, as his body evolved to be "infinite". It's also a perfect parallel to Deku, who himself is the culmination of One For All, the final wielder as the vestiges revealed to him last season. Each of them died young either at the hands of AFO or because their bodies couldn't control OFA anymore. All Might and Deku, being originally quirkless, were able to shoulder the immense power, but it will evolve too much if passed on to the next generation (no normal body could ever train hard enough to hold it; remember how hard Deku had to train his body to not explode when he accepted it from All Might).
