The concept is totally at odds with all the Quirk worldbuilding we've so far. And to say it's like hair/nail growth... we literally met a Shiketsu guy in S3 whose quirk was super hair growth. You cannot convince me those nasty hand leviathans aren't a quirk!

It encapsulates a lot of this shows themes like Lady Nagant was pointing out in her couple episodes. Im so excited for the rest of the season 🖤

We finally got the full Todoroki story having Dabi's perspective in here too. The line that the doctor says about Dabi being "a monomaniac even the demon lord abandoned" is probably one of my favourites in the whole story (and the panel in the manga is fantastic). Like ALL FOR ONE, the worst villain in history, really went nope bro's too crazy, this is not worth it 😂 All jokes aside I love this episode! Shoto's done so much to reach this point and the conversation the two of them have is so emotionally driven. It's just a regular sibling fight, right guys 😭 And then to have the shot of them at the end as children is beautiful.

2025-07-17 06:29:06 +0000 UTCThese 2 episodes are really good specially the dabi one, one important thing to say is maybe you guys see what toga says and how the world and society rejects her in every possible way, she really feels so alone and so sad and you guys maybe should to try to understand her or at least, see her suffer and point of view and no taking it as funny or weird. And the episode of dabi and shoto was so peak with all the narrative, VA and the insane OST. And i think these 2 characters, toga and toya are my favorites of the series, maybe alongside endeavor, uraraka and mirio. I CANT WAIT FOR MORE PEAK EPISODES FOR NEXT WEEK!!! MY PEAK ACADEMIA!!!

It does stretch believability some, but I will say they also foreshadowed it a little bit as far back as the Star and Stripe fight with his hair suddenly growing. His body's basically a perfect vessel for a ton of different quirks now, and it grows and shifts into whatever the 'ideal' form for that might be.

2025-07-17 02:34:15 +0000 UTCi'm right there with you, carlie. the whole shigarake "it's not a quirk, it's just growing super fast" just felt like losing the plot a bit to me. like by any definition up to this moment, that's a quirk, and just isn't here for ✨reasons✨ i don't sweat it that much though. i think it's probably the weakest link in the season, so all things considered not a big deal. still more peak incoming!

Toga for me because we knew Midorya was taken but we didnt know how bad that was until that episode. We know he is now 200km away, and how important he is defeating Shigaraki. Not only that, because it was taken to island where he now lost his fast route to moving which was Black Whip + 100% Faux. Which only works when there is something to cling to. So Toga basically fucked the whole plan. And if you look through the episode, Aizawa and AM was talking up danger AFO, Dabi, and Shiggy poses. They actually missed Toga and now that is eating them in the back, since she is more of a technical fighter than those 3. And also that she basically negates Danger Sense which is the first time that happened.

2025-07-16 23:17:01 +0000 UTCHer feelings are "I love you so I want to turn you into a bloody mess and suck your blood until you die of bloodless" sorry but expecting him to be instantly understanding and approving of it and construing it as some moral failure that he is denying her is just ridiculous. Deku very clearly thinks Toga is worth saving, like that's what his conversation with Ochaco was about, but that doesn't mean he can just ignore the war with the world on the line, drop everything on the spot and agree to let himself be mutilated for the rest of his life to please her. Toga's issue clearly isn't one that can be resolved in a split second and this is the very first time he is actually exposed to it. Saving someone doesn't mean just agreeing to whatever fucked up shit they think.

It was an emphasized scene in my mind when I read the manga, but not as much highlighted in the anime. That's the fun of it tho. I just love how Dabi is absolutely crazy.

I think its pretty clear that Deku is the "gentlest " personality in the show, often to his detriment and audience disapproval. This is the guy who would absolute shatter his limbs just so a classmate can feel encouraged, wouldn't even laugh at Rody and the pink bandit bird Pino Quirk, the person who forgave his bully and is trying to save The Greatest Villain in history because he saw his inner kid crying. Toga is actively telling Deku her feelings, she opening up and sharing her perspective, AND THE HERO WORSHIPPING HERO BLOWS HER OFF. He does exactly what Shiggy said Allmight taught hero society: heroes only save those that they think are worth saving.

2025-07-16 20:13:55 +0000 UTCI think Shigaraki can now be considered bio-engineered like the Nomus, since we saw him in that purple cylinder, and it was referred to by the doctor as their greatest masterpiece. He has super strength/speed/growth abilities even without having to use quirks. A very scary part of EP8 was watching all those kids in a place like a school that is being run by AFO... Doctor mentioned that Dabi was taken as a candidate for becoming the next AFO (what Shigaraki is right now), but he was deemed to be "Another" failed subject.... So I'm guessing that all the other kids kept failing as well... until they found Shigaraki and made him the official successor.

After looking at the remaining episodes I think it will flow the best for y'all (looking at contained arcs joining. I dont think anything Uraraka or Tsu has done so far has any more merit than that A not so fun fact btw, aside from Dabi's new fit looking very fire ehem its actually also meant to be burial clothes since in Japan the deceased are usually dressed in white when laid to rest. He came into this battle with a single end in mind already. The todoroki brothers are just always so heartbreaking to watch theyre my faves.. the quick flash of their child selves at the end always hurts.. they were just kids.. Shoto's growth is so amazing to see and I'm so glad he had the class around him to ground and support him every step of the way

It's like the next stage to mankind's evolution; their bodies adapting to just being a new kind of being. It's essentially a mutation, like how a kid has parents with distinctive quirk and instead of inheriting either one of their parents' quirk, they develop a new one. That's why the explanation as to why he ''suddenly'' turned into Sukuna makes sense.

It immediately ruined the game plan they had made, and even caused Deku to stall and be out of position to get back. Plus we got to see more of her feelings and thought process.

2025-07-16 18:51:25 +0000 UTCIf you guys are questioning the writing about Shigaraki's grotesque finger growth you have to take into account that mutant quirks that changes someones appearance works differently. Because if Aizawa used Erasure on Spinner he won't suddenly turn back into a human, he would still look like a lizard. Mutant Body modifications are permanently apart of someone's body and that can't be undone which is why the Erasure quirk has no effect on Shigaraki's modefied body. Due to the singularity theory his body needed to take on a new form thanks to all the quirks and modifications his body stores which is a weakness to the erase quirk which can't affect his current accelerated body growth despite Shiggy's quirks being erased and locked away.
