2025-06-26 20:42:47 +0000 UTCRegarding the changes for Nolan and Rex, I think it might not be unreasonable. Of course these are just my opinions, might be far fetched. Rex being an asshole to everyone until he got his hand broken and shot in the head. That experience change his life definitely. He even mentions how he saw his life flashing before his eyes. Him struggling against the Octopus villain was actually sad to see because it feels like he doesn't want to give in to his injuries and not be able to be a superhero anymore. This is not a spoiler since I never see post-season-3 plot, but Nolan has been changed quite significantly compared to the ordinary Viltrumites. We see him in season 1 expressing his love for his family to some extent (which i don't think he himself would, if he had not been exposed to the human's life). He stopped himself from killing Mark at the end of the season 1 and shed a tear. He was going to kill himself by going into a blackhole before saving the Thraxan ship. And I think the whole point of introducing the Thraxans this season is to show that Nolan has changed to a new level where he can live among a "lower specie compared to even Human" without showing his distaste. I think in early season 1, they did highlight that Nolan was afraid Mark will have his power eventually. It looks like he doesn't want that to happen, otherwise he will have to kickstart the invasion.
