Even the same key players involved for the main part. But like it had to be Kirishima for Bakugo to take his hand, it had to be Iida to take Deku's.

I just say that one character its going to do one of the most heroic and emotional acts and its going to take away all the sadness and grayness in just 1 episode. I cant wait!!!!!!! Btw: Carlie its going to cry so hard and even Ange doesnt have tear ducts xd, i think hes going to cry too.

Even characters that don’t have that much screen time all saying their piece. Just goes to show how Deku is such an important member of the class and how he managed to make a positive impact in all their lives because of his heroic nature

The complete recall of everyone’s individual impact of Midoriya. It really shows how good and underrated of an MC Deku is. Also, it broke me seeing Bakugo apologize & actually call him Izuku for once 🥺

Shoto and Bakugo have always been more rivals, so they may have been more likely to set off Deku's danger sense. Ochaco has always been a bit of a love interest, so if she caught up to him, it'd have different connotations. But Iida? His first real friend at UA? The one who feels he owes Deku for saving him during the Stain arc? The one who couldn't be there for him during the Overhaul arc? The one who has literally said he is always going to push to catch up to Deku? Pure poetry.

2025-06-20 16:01:03 +0000 UTCthis is my most absolutely favorite episode ever in the show! it just holds a special place in my heart ❤️ it never fails to not make me cry I just love the students and their relationships with each other so much like these dorks are my kids now 😭 ((i can talk about this ep forever but ill try to just keep it brief and on the highlights lol)) absolutely crazy amazing scene with Iida and Deku that perfectly parallels the Bakugo and Kirishima rescue in s3 (and they're both actually at the same place fun fact) with the theme again of hands and reaching out being shown... its so cool how with Deku knowing only kiri could reach out to bakugo then, bakugo in turn also knows deku enough how important it was for Iida to be the one reaching out to him... just amazing scene.. amazing visuals and soundtrack I know we make fun of Mineta always but I actually really liked his speech and think its underrated lol Deku isn't amazing because he has the most OP power ever but (as cliche as it might be) its because of his character and his values... even when he was nobody and a 'crybaby' he was still already inspiring people even without meaning to.. its what makes him special and perfect to have received this crazy power and ofc gotta give some love to Bakugo... everytime he talks in this super calm tone just kills me.. and cycling them from kids to growing up in their talk was diabolical! just stab me in my heart it would have hurt less! anyone is free to have their reservations about bakugo but I truly have enjoyed his development and writing and this scene here was just so meaningful i love it a lot ❤️ okay im done lol lastly, obligatory i cant wait for next week!! its been such a ride and peak will still not stop so lets gooo

I liked you before you could even throw a Smash" because it highlights first and foremost the biggest thing about Deku: his heroic heart. During the USJ, Tsuyu outright asks Mineta if he really wanted to be a hero which causes him to reflect on his own ambitions. As a result, Mineta started his development then realizing that being scared shitless and choosing to step up is what makes heroes shine. The series pairs him with Mt. Lady (the first "vanity hero" we meet) because they slowly showcase that they're really worthy heroes deep down.

The payoff from a long and slow character progression of Bakugo is so satisfying, and it was executed beautifully. The full circle moment with Iida using Deku's own words towards him. And Uraraka's concern was foreshadowed during Shigaraki's awakening. ABSOLUTE CINEMA! Great reaction as always with Ange popping off and Carlie sobbing. I enjoyed re-watching this episode alongside you guys. Thank you. I CAN'T WAIT for the next episode. I need it please!

2025-06-20 15:15:21 +0000 UTComg so much of this episode for me is great, definitely one of my top favorites of the series. the line for me was “I’m sorry I said (you all) couldn’t keep up” and bakugo says “I know”. You could tell it hurt izuku to even say that to his friends and bakugo who knows him best already knew he didn’t mean to say it :’) Also you both probably already noticed but bakugo is a taciturn character - he say /everything/ the shortest (and rudest) he can say it, which is why the way he talks is almost literally *explosive*. He said somewhere before in a previous episode that he hates when people talk for a long time, which is why he always got mad when izuku mutters, so that’s what makes this speech to izuku extra special here because [a) he used his name for the first time, and bakugo only uses the names of people he sees as equal (or a favorable nickname lol) and] b) he’s clearly thought out what he was going to say and how he was going to say it for a really long time. It’s just - it truly is peak. The author gave this moment so much thought and it shows! Sorry, just had to gush about that! Haha
