They lived during All For One's peak, and that era was the cruelest, so I'm guessing they don't have much belief that hope still exists. This is probably just me speculating, but trauma does create a lot of obstacles for certain people. You all have to remember, man. AFO Traumitsed all of these mfs. It was only until All Might beat him the first time that they truly felt success.

2025-06-12 18:18:51 +0000 UTCI also really loved the scene with the users! The author has several scenes that involves hands/reaching out as a theme that I think is really cool! First with the first and second OFA users, (like you said) with Shigaraki and AFO, and also Deku and bakugo when they were kids. Love me some parallels. And yea your understanding of why they first didn't want to help is pretty spot on. The 2nd & 3rd user grew up in war and has had a more cutthroat approach to things with them also saying that they had to sacrifice so many lives just to have even a slim chance againsts AFO so they couldn't quite be on board with Deku wanting to save their enemy. And yet OFA wouldn't have existed in the first place if the 2nd user didn't take a chance and help his 'enemy' as well. Love the music during that whole scene... so good! ofc gotta shout out the hottie Lady Nagant 😍😍

They acknowledge the comments are hurtful because that's not a 'cosplay', thereby being her quirk, at least how I took it. Totally agreed on the Spinner connection part. Semi-related, it makes me think of someone like Tokoyami being a bird with a human body, and I just wonder what his parents look like hahahah

It made it sound like he was referring to her outfit or thinking she was wearing a costume, when mutants are already a normal part of society. A better translation would be "She shouldn't be walking around at night LOOKING like that!" to make it clear he's referring to her being a mutant. This is suppose to add to the mutant discrimination background that got introduced with Spinner. Last episode also had a weird translation for the line regarding Shinso's quirk.
