Mushoku Ep 21 FULL REACTION!

Oh. Rudy died… huh. Next anime. I assume one of Orstead Curses is to instantly be feared and hated, or maybe each is a curse itself. Eris and Ruijard didn’t know him but but instantly scam soon as his presence was felt, at first I thought it was battle instinct of sensing killing intent, but the curses make more sense. Rudy being an anomaly Recarn is vary interesting and to those who watch the end credits might understand visuals now that we know Paul was not supposed to have Rudy. I like the conversation. With Rudeus and Mangod, cause it was a conversation this time, not a fight that Rudeus tries to start their meanings off with. Also we know Rudy isn’t an apostle to the mangod who told him he wasn’t the one who reincarnated him, in fact I’m pretty sure being a god he has vary little power to interfere in the physical world. On that note Rudy’s eye did not work on Ordted, and it Kirakeka who gave him the eye. Maybe she’s a true apostle of the man God? Age counter (I like this to much to stop despite being wrong!) Rudy 12 years old Eris 14 years old. (Ruijard did say she was an adult now, in this world 15 is adult age, but I fill he ment this in a fighting warrior graduation term and relates to her age.) This episode is where you glimpse the peak that is the Light Novels. This is the closest Mushoku Tensei anime came to being as good as the Light Novel. They cut so much interesting lore to lock in and follow Rudeus's story that when moments such a s Turning Point 2 happen it almost feels like a different show. But the books are actually way more like this then not. It obviously doesn't get climactic like this all the time but the worldbuilding is way more present and prominent there

I'm not surprised you were "warned" about the turning point episodes. But it irks me that people can't just let others have a clean experience. No self restraint, geez. This is why I recommend that you get some help to heavily moderate any content you interact with.

I found on the internet how powerful that Fireball that Rudeus conjured at his last moments no spoilers "They explained in the light novel that orsted place 2 emperor class absorbing barriers and the first broke while the second cracked. Rudy just shat together a spell and it had to be defended by TWO whole ass emperor class spells there is no discribing the surprise orsted must have felt when the first broke and he had to cast another"

the directors changed for the next season so dont expect the same quality of execution and details from the book of this show like how tense the turning points are, subtle details, etc Also another very BIG THING is the studio that adapted this is studio bind. Their very first anime is mushoku tensei so we could say their debut anime was season 1 of this show so they went all out. not saying that the next season would be bad but just think of it as season 1 being directed by someone talented with all the budget while season 2 is directed by someone just good and a little less budget with tighter deadlines because of studio bind starting to adapt other shows

I liked the small details in this episode: 1. Rudeus used wind magic to force air into his lungs so that he could fight. 2. Rudy empathizing with Orsted's curse that makes every living thing hate him -- he talks about how much that must "suck," hinting that Orsted is a tragic figure. 3. The fact that Nanahoshi was wearing a mask and has a unique-sounding name compared to every character we've met thus far.

Ange, keep cooking, picking up on odd details like Nanahoshi not being scared of Orsted is rewarding in MT (not confirming or denying anything 😉). Ruijerd and Eris are awesome for even facing Orsted. Hoping you guys move straight on to season 2, as many have said, this show keeps getting better.

I've seen a comment mention how Rudy managed to damage Orsted with his full power Stone Cannon, but when you actually look at Orsted's hand at 12:06 you can clearly see it's actually the Female Titan's blood.

Ruijerd and Eris are REAL ones cuz even though they were terrified due to Orsted's "curse", they still jumped in to defend Rudy. To see Orsted destroy Ruijerd with just hands in mere seconds is INSANE.

it's crazy how Rudeus managed to actually damage Orsted while Ruijerd literally lost in 5 seconds (Rudeus damaged the back of his hands with his Stone Cannon spell). And about that purple fireball spell, it was actually his first time not holding back at all, he tried to recreate a nuclear explosion. Rudeus was ALWAYS holding back up to this point, because his spells are so deadly and destructive, he could've killed Eris and gravely injure Ruijerd if he just started casting spells left and right without thought. With the adrenaline rush and his lungs crushed, he stopped thinking completely and went all out, disregarding the damage he could've did to Eris and Ruijerd. You can even say that Orsted saved Eris and Ruijerd by absorbing the spell, rather than just taking Nanahoshi and fleeing.

The conflict between Orsted and Man god finaly revealed, love the way they introduce him, you just get so many questions about everything that you know.

I love how expertly the studio incorporated Orsted's curse of being feared with the viewer with the cold open. The viewer is scared the whole time then even more so when finally seeing him.
