What he did wasn't natural. If ur in an explosion or moved to a different location against ur will, the first thing u do is send word to ur family. Or try contacting them any way possible. Regardless of what era u live in. And 1.5 years of not contacting ur family has no excuse after a situation like that even if u don't know if they were effected by it. Im not roughly blaming Rudy or Paul. They are both in a difficult situation. But I would say that Paul did what should have been done after the mana disaster. Rudy as an adventurer and someone mentally older than Paul should have checked the Adventures guild and tried to contact his family. He also should have asked around more about the disaster that can teleport him any time. The thing is ppl bring up his mental age only when they want to avoid shipping him with silphy or Eris, not when he should have been more responsible or informed. He kind of brought his ignorance towards his family from the other world and I think he kinda neglected both pair of his parents till this point of the ep to some degree. But he was traumatized and stopped maturing despite growing old so we have to give him that.

2025-05-09 02:54:05 +0000 UTCYeah actually you can see that Paul is barely sleeping, with dark rings under his eyes, and even is he's worried sick about zenith and the rest of the family, he's upholding his duties as a father to his daughter. So yeah all in all great character development for Paul due to the mana disaster, it kinda brought out the good qualities of Paul. Sometimes tragedies can have great silver linings for the self development of a person.
