Let's please remember that as recently as the 1800s, young girls were getting married off as soon as they hit puberty... or sooner. Gross, of course... but this fantasy world is akin to a "medieval" world.

So having sex at his age would be considered a teen having sex in our time. They don't know any of the things we know like mental health how bad the affects of incest is bc their world is not developed. Eris would probably already be married of to some old man if it wasn't for her attitude. And Pauls grandpa is actually a really good man he is just a king and he likes to have sex other then that he's a good person.
