2020-03-03 00:34:40 +0000 UTCThe reason Able (the AI assistant) was singing at the end is something you missed early in the episode. When he appeared in the lab uninvited, Doctor Weller said that if he ever did that again, he'd reprogram him to only speak in Gilbert and Sullivan lyrics. The verse, "I am the very model of a modern Major-General," is from the Gilbert and Sullivan comedy "The Pirates of Penzance." My favorite part of this episode is that is shows how truly perceptive and able to read a situation Weller is. He comes off as being the absent-minded genius, but he's not so absent-minded at all - we saw last episode that he quickly figured out 'Sinclair' was actually not the real Sinclair and then used that knowledge to allow the spy to kill himself. This episode, early on when he goes to talk to Colonel Marin you can hear that she's getting a report about refugees and tells them to drop them off at Hangar 2 when they arrive, then he arranges to have all the recruits go practice right outside Hangar 2.
