The main character has such a good arc, and the show is so real...hoping you guys can give it a red hot go, make it to episode 5-6 and 90% of the werid stuff is behind us!

I think for me, the only reason I enjoyed it so much is because I've watched far too many anime that I craved something that broke traditional tropes and I learned to value that so I was able to stick with it. I probably would not have been able to get through it if I hadn't watched so many beforehand for me at least. Also the animation is a big plus so

I get what you're saying, but I'm not exactly focused on semantics and perfectly representing the deeper layers of the story in a comment when I was just trying to make an easily digestible comment. Also, "goes away" refers to the perverted scenes, not Rudy's character, so I think there is a misunderstanding there

The show is about his growth as a person, going from a weird, perverted neet and becoming an actual good person. If the weird stuff just "went away" instead of actually being part of the character progression, the narrative wouldn't be nearly as good, it would just be a basic ass isekai

2025-03-16 18:45:08 +0000 UTCAt its heart, it’s an incredibly intricate and detailed fantasy story with movie level animation/sound design in every single episode. We are adults. We can tune out the weird stuff and just enjoy the immense amount of work and love put into this show. The water color art style is beautiful, the lack of intro is rare, the ost’s are gorgeous. The overarching plot is complex and interesting and it sprinkles in just the perfect amount of mystery.

Stories about flawed people are great when you can see them better themselves, I just wish one of Rudy's flaws wasn't being a sex pest/pedo. I look forward to seeing y'all enjoy the story unfolding, it is legitimately one of the greats, especially in the isekai genre.
