Assuming you have leftover bounty in chest at the end and you can make up inflations, you can award your favorite character for the arc at the end of arc. For example, if Chopper has the best scene of the whole series in that 1 arc or at the time, the bounty chest is low. but he doesnt much afterward or before, but the scenes really makes your character goes from "yeah I like him" to "ok, this man is the best character of all time" status, then you can boom, give him some at the end.

Chopper scared. Robin making dark joke. If you take away bounty for each time Luffy does stupid things, I guess it will continue until end of One Piece haha.
