Maybe even have his own concubines, none of them would be who he wants though but it's all politics and you can't really say no. Look at Lishu, the Emperor isn't interested in her but it's a political move so she's in the rear palace.

Our MC's name is (catcat) and the kitten is named (furfur) but the Chinese character for cat and fur are both pronounced Mao so we get MC Maomao and kitten Maomao. The Emperor has a sense of humor and probably puns.
