While they didn't meant to do a recap episode (damm you Nickelodeon), I think they meant to use this "opportunity" to look back at the show and reflect on some of the most controversial parts of the show while praising the characters journeys, just like the Ember Island Players did with ATLA. The problem is that the execution is not great, specially because I don't think this show needed a recap. Still, I really enjoyed this episode, specially the reflection on Korra's growth and how Varrick mocked some unexplained plot points.
