2025-02-08 04:10:12 +0000 UTCAgree with some of the other comments, I think that the reason this arc turned a lot of people off was the weekly releases back when it was airing. Made all of the stuff with the school festival feel like it dragged on longer than it really did. And this was off of the back of the overhaul arc which was pretty much the complete opposite tonally. Personally I was much less enthusiastic about all of the licensing exam episodes than I was about the gentle criminal episodes.

2025-02-08 01:36:49 +0000 UTCi agree with you 4th season is great but sadly it is true that especially this segment with gentle criminal was for a lot of people turn off and stopped watching MHA, people even started hating on MHA which is for some reason still happening ...sadly it was and sometime still is habit of anime fans hating or at least make fun of MHA but i really like this show and i am glad you guys too

2025-02-07 20:57:53 +0000 UTCFrom what I remember, most of the complaints abt s5 were ppl being over the training arcs and manga readers mad about the adaptation (cut content, arc rearrangements, movie promo filler, rough animation in a hyped arc and pacing issues). I know that all sounds bad 💀 but the content itself is still pretty good and just like every season it’s got its standout episodes Also the weekly release made it feel way more drawn out so at least you won’t have to deal with that!
