Finally! Cant wait for you to react to the next 2 arcs. They are by far the best arcs in my opinion. Nothing even comes close except maybe Arabasta.

Abe portugal asked: who does Nami like? Oda answered: in a romantic sense ? I don't think there will be any romance among that crew. Nami probably sees the good aspects/qualities of those guys, but One Piece isn't a romance. Maybe a lot of girl readers ask this kind of question. Boys are not interested at all. One piece is basically a shonen manga, manga for boys, so romance isn't depicted Again, he never outright says that " there will be no romance in the crew" he just says that the main focus is adventure and that this is mostly a shounen, and shounen are mostly for boys. Especially in 2009 which was when that question was asked. Now is 2025, different time, people think differently, manga has changed as well as shounen standards, Oda is also known to change stuff I doubt that might happen in the story but Oda is very misleading when it comes to how he portrays Luffy and Nami I got manga images from Oda himself but that may or may not walk in spoiler territory and it's a no no here

oda outright said "there wont be any romance among the crew" in the interview 15 years ago or so. it was not SBS, it was interview, you will need to deep a bit deeper than 3 second google search to find it but i am sure its still on internet somewhere. TLDR for a reason why, oda says one piece is shonen not shoujo. it was 15 years since i read the interview so i am paraphrasing, i cant remember exact words for reason why but he 100% said no romance among the crew

Oda never blindly states there will be no romance only that he thinks there will be not be, because the main focus is not that but adventure. I personally doubt there will be romance as well, but its still fun. I just don't like the idea of the Sanji and Nami ship when Luffy and Nami have more in the manga that Toei doesn't adapt for unknown reasons. To me they make the most sense. If they find the one piece what next? If Luffy wants to keep on exploring his best bet is to stay with his navigator. Zoro and Robin have a ton of chemistry that gets sidelined in the anime as well 😢

In jump fest 2009 someone asked who does Nami like Oda responded with "Hmm, in a romantic sense I don't think there will be any romance among the crew." I personally also ship Zoro and Robin but I doubt there will be romance among crew members.

Even though there probably won't be any romantic relationships between the Straw Hats, you can still look forward to romance in One Piece. Oda once claimed he wasn't good at writing romantic stories, but you'll find out that he's good at that too. There will definitely be more ships in the future and also more in which the Straw Hats are involved. Romance isn't one of the main points of One Piece, but you can definitely look forward to more action in that direction.

I know this aint got nothing to do with the episodes but I've seen that you guys ship some straw hats but don't want to because supposedly Oda said no romance among the straw hats. But don't worry, that's just a fan made statements Oda never said the straw hats will not have romance between them, all he said was that they are in love with adventure and us fans took this as they will not be romance between them I personally ship Luffy and Nami and Zoro and Robin. There's just to much stuff that sadly the anime doesn't give focus to and doesn't adapt

The non straw hat rankings is still a segment but obviously only when we’re considering a change. Right now, we’ve had the same characters for ages. Same goes for the straw hat rankings. It hasnt and likely wont change for a while so we’re just keeping it fresh

I like the treasure chest idea. Look, not every two episode watch will have epic moments but you know there will be some later on so I like the idea of taking from the chest for later to give to someone as a fourth prize or adding to the first second or third prizes for a REALLY epic moment or reward

I second this. They need to read this - It may or may not become relevant in the future. Only time will tell, but this is cannon material that was never adapted to the Anime. Cover stories are essentially the first page of a One Piece chapter that is its own story taking place else where in the world.

I think the old ranking of main and side characters is way better than bounties, at least in my opinion I guess the old ranking doesn’t sit well with you because of previous arcs, which didn’t have many important or good characters Maybe you should reconsider it or at least make a poll
