2025-01-24 13:53:18 +0000 UTCi think the reason for alot of pp wating to skip the davy back fight is because that whole premis of this arc doesnt rly fit in the one piece world so far, but the g8 arc fits almost perfectly in the world, also and this might be the biggest reason, because the next arc is an extremly good arc and this is where the magic of the show really begins to do its thing

2025-01-23 21:49:20 +0000 UTCHow though? "Fording through the ice" is a waste of time for 75% of it. This arc at least moves and delivers on silliness. (Coming from just an anime alone perspective). I thought Water 7 was bad in terms of pacing but then it picked up in the next arc, big time, until because of my own fault, saw the fillers while watching it.

You asked why they don't team up more but its kinda because there hasn't been a need to, teamwork, real teamwork, hasn't been a factor till now. Especially between the two strongest under Luffy. I love this because it sets a precedent, forms a foundation for Sanji and Zoro. Now they have an understanding with each other that they didnt before, they might not always seen eye to eye but they both have now agreed to lean on each other for the crews sake when necessary. And they did it in such few words! This is the start of a silent but very much real comradery between two protectors of the crew and it only builds from here! This one moment is seriously my favorite in this arc and why its critical for some of the epic moments you guys are fast approaching! I love hoe even after this long Oda is still putting in work to lay foundations for the characters learning to function as a loyal crew.

2025-01-23 14:21:45 +0000 UTCThere is actually a newer, really well done reanimated version of zoro and sanji vs groggy monsters, on youtube. It might be fun to check out once you finish the arc. Although I'm very critical of this arc, this match was in the top 2 moments of the arc.
