Despite being virtually flawless, it's still not my favorite, though. Hope the premise of the show actually resonates with yall and yall enjoy it!

About the 24 episodes: I feel like the story is perfectly contained in those 24 episodes and they do a really good job of wrapping it up. That's just my opinion, though.

It’s set in Korea and it’s set a few years later (or maybe the same time) from Parasyte the Maxim (this series). So basically, there’s this girl who had a similar case to Shinichi and we’re following her instead.

I dont know the general consensus for the anime tho. I watched it long time ago out of respect to the original but dont really remember much. Maybe this comment sections will remind me how the anime was perceived a decade a go. Hope it’s good.

Don't want to spoil, so I'll keep my comment at that xD Btw, a lot of mangaka today have read and cited Parasyte (the manga actually came out in the 1990s) as an inspiration (My Hero Academia's mangaka included). The story itself is a bit wonky in places, but imperfections aside the rest really shines through. A lot of fans aren't exactly happy w/ this anime adaptation when it came out in 2014 (I also felt like MadHouse didn't devote their top resources to this ol' classic), but it's still a relatively solid adaptation of the entire story. Hope y'all enjoy it~

2025-01-10 14:24:02 +0000 UTCWhile this series is only one season, it does have a live action sister series (Parasyte: The Grey) that takes place in the same universe & roughly same timeline, just in another country. It actually just came out in 2024. If you end up enjoying this anime, please consider watching that one too!! I've never seen a live action show based off of an animated show that wasn't just trying to remake the same content, but rather expand on the universe, so it was a really fun experience!
