2025-01-08 16:32:00 +0000 UTCYeah, I think Shigaraki is a lot smarter than some people give him credit for- and unlike Overhaul, I think he actually does show some “care” for the members of his League of Villains- taking the hand off of his face to talk to them was a way of showing that to them imo

2025-01-08 14:01:09 +0000 UTCOn the topic of Shigaraki agreeing to send Twice and Toga to work with Overhaul: I think he wanted to betray Overhaul as petty revenge, but he either knew or suspected that Overhaul had the guy with the Confession quirk. So he knew that whoever he sent, he couldn't tell them to betray Overhaul, because they would be forced to reveal Shigaraki's treachery. So he agreed to let Overhaul have Twice and Toga because he knows that they're the most chaotic members of the League and would betray Overhaul on their own accord without being told to do so just to sow chaos.

2025-01-08 13:02:45 +0000 UTCI actually think it benefits from not showing it more. First off, the animators put their time into the right moments this season and this didn't need to be one. Since the fight itself isn't pictured in the manga really, animators would have to add a bunch of new stuff and make it look cool and it's too much. But secondly, and more importantly, I think it better serves the narrative this way. I'm sure it was ugly and desperate and a scramble, nothing that would be easy or fun to animate. And the focus would be on what he did or didn't do instead of what he was doing: HIS BEST. Seeing Mirio suddenly move around like a JJK character would be fun and all but I appreciate there's no hype about the fight, just a sense of respect for the heroic spirit.
