His criticisms of hierarchal socio-political structures and specific arguments on the nature of freedom echo those of noted political scientists and philosophers like David Graeber or Kropotkin. He’s an interesting villain, although the depth of his specific belief structure is kind of let down by his role as this season’s cartoon antagonist. Still great though.

Ange was right when he said on a previous episode that Zaheer is similar to those people who are anti government. They do what they do not for themselves but for the ideologies they have because they know that those are bigger than them. These are the kinds of people you'd be scared of because they are the ones who can literally sacrifice themselves to reach their goal.
