but M&M stands for marshall mathers, what would NL stand for? also its not enel its eneru. so gag is just bad. I call him enel because when i first watched one piece when i was kid that was the sub i had and it stuck with me but correct name is eneru

2024-12-17 14:59:22 +0000 UTCyeah, oda makes SO MANY plays on different words in one piece. the "106 pound pheonix" sounds like "106 pondo hoh" or smth (i dont know japanese either sadly), and apparently that sounds the same in japanese as "106 caliber gun". which is why zoro is using it as his ranged attack - he said before using it that he figured out something to use on ranged enemies, as guns are also ranged weapons. i wish that the official anime subtitles had like, a section each episode where they explain any wordplan if there is any, because it really does add to the experience of watching/reading one piece. it really makes you appreciate the thought that oda put into everything in this story.

There's no way to sneak up on him, even if he can't see you, and his body can't be harmed by physical attacks because he just becomes lightning.
