There’s consistent progress but there’s also just so much action and comedy and characters being introduced. It’s very well balanced, I’ll say. I think we’ll probably get a really good romantic payoff a couple episodes into season 2. Maybe there’s some element of recency bias at play but I honestly feel like Dandadan is really something special. I can see it becoming as fundamental to my anime/manga tastes as Berserk is.

Most of what you’ve heard is wishful thinking and cope. Eg rumours for a summer release. It makes sense that there will be an 2nd core because this season will end in the start of the ‘haunted house’ arc but won’t complete it as it’s the first longer arc - as I referred to in a previous message. So like MHA let’s just we get an official announcement at the end of this season/core.

Season 1 animation gonna look like a powerpoint presentation compared to season 3 (suits) and 4 (umbrella), IYKYK. Really hope they get the funding and hires to do the manga justice.

2024-12-13 13:14:07 +0000 UTCthis is the first cour of season 1! i'm not 100% sure if it was confirmed but i heard a lot of sources say the second cour may air as soon as july 2025 :D jiji is such a goofball omg, he was already weird in the manga but seeing the anime really made him feel even whackier! his va did an amazing job, all of the va's must've had so much fun recording (jiji's va's name is kaito ishikawa btw! ushiwaka was close enough lol) i reread the manga yesterday and i'm surprised they decided to introduce jiji right at the end of this cour, since we don't get much time with him... but the second cour is going to be so hype!! i'm all for them taking their time with it because... rip the animators

Feels bad everyone is gonna have to wait to see what happens after that. If it was part of season one it would be the greatest first season of an anime ever made
