2024-11-14 20:33:18 +0000 UTCI agree, there's definitely some changes in s2 that make it a bit confusing if you haven't read the Manga but I think the whole show is still worth watching. It's not any different from other shows and movies changing stuff from original source material. You guys should be able to watch it all (and read it eventually as you said you plan to) and see what you think despite what some ppl might say about it. I think if you had some poll to see if ppl would like you to continue or not it'd lean more toward continuing, it's just the ones who don't like it that speak put against it more. Looking forward to the final part of the season with you though, it's about to get wild π

2024-11-14 19:47:32 +0000 UTCTokyo Ghoul S2 is different from the manga. I haven't finished both the manga and the anime yet, but they change the plot in the anime and make it hard to follow in season 3. Tokyo Ghoul is already a classic in 2010s but it could definitely be the same level as AOT with the animation, music and story if the anime have paced better. 2010s actually have a lot of classic anime. Unravel is already a very classic song in anime.

2024-11-12 13:48:12 +0000 UTCI'm really enjoying your reaction, but I need to focus more on the show. I'm sad that you sometimes seem to miss something important

2024-11-12 02:47:33 +0000 UTCTo explain some terminology: Kagune - inherent to all ghouls, considered as part of their organs (like muscles). ghouls can soften and harden them at will. also functions like claws meaning they can retract and protract when they want to use it as a weapon Basic Types of Kagune: 1) Ukaku (Wing Type) - comes out of the shoulder area. good for high speed and long range attacks. Character with this type: Touka 2) Koukaku (Shell Type) - comes out below the shoulder blades. heavy-type kagune, considered as most sturdy and most suited for defense Ex: Tsukiyama 3) Rinkaku (Tentacle Type) - comes out from the back of the waist. highest regenerative ability, superior striking power and excels at offense Ex: Kaneki (formerly Rize) 4) Bikaku (Tail Type) - comes out of the tailbone, most adaptable, good at both offense and defense Ex: Nishiki Quinque - weapons used by the CCG, manufactured from a ghoul's kagune Also, just for perspective S1 of the anime (12 episodes) covers about 60 chapters of the manga. They really cut out a lot of stuff in the anime, including the kagune lore I just explained. The story of S1 is pretty much the same but the characters and relationship dynamics are more fleshed out in the manga.

2024-11-12 01:21:00 +0000 UTCAnge trying to say quinque killed me. Also, I was one of the people who was one of the early nay sayers against Tokyo Ghoul being chosen because I thought it wouldnβt be worth watching if you only watch one season, but I think youβd be able to enjoy season 2 and finish that without feeling like you got no closure. A lot of the questions you postulate do get answered btw, so no worries there, and yeah, thatβs the right version of the show!
