I'm not even sure if Oda meant for that to be the case, but as you said they should've made it clear. He really is done dirty - especially when it comes to his sniper skills. Even from the very beginning he was good at using the cannon, not to mention his skills in Enies Lobby. Then Oda decided to awaken his haki in Dressrosa only for him to not use it again?? Tbh there's a lot to be said about the main cast post timeskip, I think a lot of them regressed when they should've improved.

2024-12-07 14:28:44 +0000 UTCSPOILERS- @mrmegaman94 he lied to the tontattas about being related to Noland (which isn't surprising lol), which resulted in them worshipping and relying on him. He let all the tontattas get tortured while they yelled for him to help them, and he was this close π€ to letting them all die. It was just heartbreaking to see them crying out for Usopp while he ran away. Someone else pointed out that it could've been that because he lost the memories of Robin, his character development went out the window. It seems very plausible, but it should've been one of those things they mention. Otherwise it just makes Usopp seem like trash. T-T On another note, the God usopp scene is probably in my top 5 moments in all of one piece lmao

Read at your own discretion!* I was frustrated by him in Dressrosa, too, until I saw a comment pointing out that his regression mainly happens after he forgets Robin. If he can't remember Robin, then he won't remember a lot of what helped him grow during Water 7/Ennies Lobby. I think that was meant to be more obvious, but unfortunately despite how dragged out Dressrosa is (the anime anyway), somehow they couldn't find the time to make that more clear. I still think Ussop is frequently done dirty, though. I really hope they give his character more shine in the live action, especially since Jacob is so stinkin' charming.

I really don't understand what Oda was thinking, ESPECIALLY after his character growth in Water 7 + the timeskip. It felt like Oda just took away all his character development for that one scene.

2024-11-13 00:39:29 +0000 UTCwow! not usopps episode huh!!! but thats fine, thats what makes him funny imo! i do like how ange has not managed to pronounce masiras name even once :D the skypiea arc in the anime feels a bit stretched out in some parts, but in general its a great arc with some GREAT moments and lore implications that only become apparent way later in the story, so!! btw plume plume fruit was smoker. like a plume of smoke!
