Yeah Donquixote Doflamingo's name really threw me off when I first saw his name, if you treat the x as silent you should be able to pronounce his name more or less correctly. Also you're gonna have to be extremely, extremely patient when it comes to 5 elders. People who haven't read manga only know the name of 1 Elder, it isn't revealed until close to episode 1100.

ep 151 is one of my fav episodes in the series cause of the amount of lore it drops. lore piece is the best of one piece <333 and like everyone else has mentioned, the name donquixote derives from a historic tale named don quixote de le mancha. it's a comedy, or a tragedy, or both depending on who you ask (i think its both). It's also considered one of the foundations of western literature. i have that story ingrained in my head after taking a spanish lit class in senior year </3

No Ange. Oda is very very deliberate in his writing and even the name he choose, and how the character he drew. In time, even things you see meaningless will come unravel. Thats the beauty of it. Lore Piece is the deepest of anime lore out there for a reason. It even reflects real life world situation. In time!

Don Quixote = "Don Key-Oh-Tee" but as with Japanese names, the last name is their first name, so Doflamingo is his name. Don Quixote is a name that comes from a very old and famous story

I will say this is one of my favorite episode to watch reactions to. The quick info dump leaves people dumbfounded is amazing. Also Blackbeard must be one crazy guy, I mean who heads to the grand line with only a 5 man crew. I’ll tell you who, someone that’s not right in the head.
