I'll become a better avatar who brings true balance to the world. Which to be fair when both raava and vaatu were free there was some sort of balance but still.

2024-11-11 06:36:58 +0000 UTCI actually think that Unalaq doesn't see good and evil equivalent to light and dark spirits. in the first few episodes, Korra makes a throw away line to Unalaq about when he is gonna teach her to fight "evil" spirits...to which he responds "there are no "evil" spirits, there is light and dark in them all." So to him, having Vaatu trapped in the spirit world and the spirits and humans separated is NOT balance. to have balance, the spirits and humans need to live together and also, light and dark need to coexist....Now, I don't agree with this, but this is how I see Unalaq justifying his extreme endgame!

But I just have to remind myself that this show features young teenagers and was written for teenagers to young adults, romance is a contemporary issue that those demographics face. I know most people see this season as one of the weaker ones, but it gave us the first avatar story and iroh in the spirit realm so this season does have it's redeeming qualities
