I was actually playing beach voleyball for the whole summer just because this movie got me so hyped up haha. not many comments on the reaction because I believe everyone else has covered it, just gonna say I've missed FUKURODANI 😂

Another season sounds like a pipe dream considering they made the movies cause they didn't want to make a final season. They released a PV and everything when they announced the two movies and it included panels of the final arcs of the manga so I'm lowering my expectations. The most I can see them doing after the next movie are OVAs or if I'm being really hopeful a third movie to wrap everything up.

2024-11-08 14:28:03 +0000 UTCIt is not the last movie. The CEO of IG Production, the studio that makes Haikyuu!!, said that they will cover more content after the next movie. He did not mention if it will be a new season or another movie, but he said there will be more Haikyuu!!.

2024-11-08 12:12:50 +0000 UTCthey confirmed it's the last movie, we know the next match would be in it but we don't know what else they'll include. they could speedrun through the rest of the manga and end the show definitively. doing anything past the final movie is not impossible but unlikely since the manga ended years ago and the way it usually works, anime is made alongside new releases of the manga. how much they make with the final movie might change things tho...

2024-11-07 21:45:41 +0000 UTCMan have I been waiting for this reaction . I understand the feeling of “Oh there’s only one movie left” but the haikyuu manga doesn’t end where the next movies ends. So they’re probably going to have an anime after the next movie. When they first announced the movies I was pretty upset because the anime really goes over all the teams. What I’m saying is they don’t have to necessarily win or lose on the next movie which sorta still keeps the stakes at least for me.

2024-11-07 19:45:49 +0000 UTCi think/hope haikyuu is gonna pull an “AOT” where at the end of the next movie they will have a “to be continued” even though they said it would be the final movie. kinda like how AOT said season 4 would be it but ofcourse they added the two movies. i think/hope this is the case because i feel like this movie was a huge success for haikyuu and they will have the funding to make another movie. also because of the amount of manga material left.

As a manga reader, there are several moments in this match that did not hit the same due to the pacing. For example Tsuki and Yamaguchi’s high five. Imagine if that was the climax of an episode and we got to sit on that for a week? I love the bump in animation but i would trade it in to keep this series on TV. I dont like that the trend in anime now is to conclude TV series with movies when they are not warranted like this and Demon Slayer. It just kills the pacing 😪 Hope they do the next match justice, its incredible.

(Loss is not a big deal in the end, we played it 'cause we like it, not because of winning.) Those two were acually "friends" in a way.😆 Like it's mentioned at the start of the movie, he was cheering for Nekoma, though it didn't seem like it. lol In Manga, Kuroo even defenced Nohemi (Daishou's school) from other schools after their game in the Ovas. Highly recommend you both to read the manga, this movie actually cut lots of stuffs, some epic scenes and some backstories from this match.
