So happy you're catching the parallels between All Might/Deku and All For One/Shigaraki. That's definitely one of the over-arching themes of the show and it done so beautifully! Unrelated but it reminds me of the writing in ATLA with the Aang and Zuko parallels in a way. Offtopic, Carlie calling Principal Nezu as 'nezumi' is so fitting since nezumi is the Japanese word for rat xD

Also, this wasn't revealed in the show so Im gonna put it here since we met Bakugo's parents :p Endeavour went for a marriage based on the quirks so he got a son with half ice powers and half fire powers. The forceful marriage based on quirks led to a lot of family problems, and his son not willing to use his fire half of his quirk for some time. On the other hand, Bakugo's parents on the other hand fell in love and their powers combined to produce an awesome quirk in a natural way. His mom has a quirk that generates glycerin from her palms. Glycerin doesn't do much, it keeps her skin moist and glistening though. His dad has a quirk that generates acidic sweat from his palms that can combust. He can't forcibly generate it like his son though. He can rub his palms together to make small explosions though, but not that powerful since its just acid that can combust. But combine those and Bakugo has the ability to generate nitroglycerin which is a strong explosive.

2024-11-05 22:33:33 +0000 UTCI personally feel deku's mom didn't think things through initially. her problem was deku getting injured causing her anxiety which is due to 2 reasons: his quirk and the villains. His dream is to be a hero and fight villains and he'll do it using his quirk so nothing changes with her wanting to send him to another hero course. with deku agreeing to her irrational suggestion and showing how he won't stop going down the path he is going, I think the part she forgot to consider came into picture and she understood there is no stopping deku unless she forbids him from becoming a hero in the first place which would just kill him from inside and she can't do.

She pursued him very aggressively until he said yes to a date. I think it’s a neat detail that since his parents love fashion, that Bakugo ended up going to Best Jeanist’s agency for his internship.
