2024-10-24 04:50:59 +0000 UTCYeah given the “rules” you have to recognize that this world takes place after it fell into chaos for decades (I actually think it’s implied or explicitly said to be way longer) after the sudden appearance of quirks. Society basically crumbled and so the society they rebuilt had very specific restrictions about who could use their quirks when because they had already seen the extreme end of what can happen without them. Not to say I think the laws or rules are a good thing.

2024-10-24 00:20:24 +0000 UTCman, there are so many great episodes coming. so pumped! i think it’s worth giving real consideration to the laws surrounding quirk usage in this world, its not just a plot point but fundamental to the themes and conflicts of the show. the show is *very* overt in presenting the question “what makes someone a hero” and by doing so should also prompt the question “what makes someone a villain”. it’s already been shown the legality surrounding quirk usage would be a big part of that.
