He was the only one that first, noticed Kota, worried about him, went to feed him, noticed that he was missing when the villains arrived, and theyβre clearly setting up a moment between the two when Deku will have to show him what a hero is with his actions, just as Todoroki was saying, since right now Kota is in trouble and Deku is the only person who knows where his hideout is. Narratively I think theyβre placing a heavy emphasis on the two, and once again weβre seeing what All Might saw in Deku, heβs not a hero for showy reasons (as Kota thinks), or to fight villains, he cares about saving people first.

He likely knew Kamina and Mineta were already there with Deku :) Also not Ange getting betrayed by Cementoss first and now Aizawa, poor Ange xDDD
