2024-10-16 22:16:24 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if anyone’s commented this to them before, but outside of the very small circle of people who understand how All Might and All For One’s powers work, in this universe quirks have only ever been known to be in your dna from birth- inherited from one or both of your parents (though there can be mutations, but I digress)- so Todoroki wondering if All Might was Deku’s father was a serious question- people “giving” other people quirks in any other way is almost completely unheard of- so Deku here is probably just assumed by everyone watching to have a similar quirk/power to All Might, and since he idolizes him, he copies his moves and their names to emulate him

2024-10-16 20:42:21 +0000 UTCThat cover is SICK!!!! It got me so hyped!! We've seen Bakugo use Howitzer Impact before! It was during the sports festival against Todoroki. It was Bakugo's last move when he thought Todoroki was going to use his flames, but Todoroki put them out instead. Carlie's "red flag" senses were half right lol!! Love that she was immediately suspicious of Melissa because she was venting FOR Uraraka. Carlie is Uraraka's ride or die! 😂 As for whether the movies are canon or not, it's half and half, in my opinion. Season 3 doesn't have any continuation of Two Heroes. When the movies were in production, the manga was already well into its later chapters, so the manga doesn't take the movies into consideration. BUT (without spoilers), they ARE relevant and fun to watch.

2024-10-16 18:52:15 +0000 UTCYeah, they are canon, but still pretty incidental- they do show/reference some of the characters from the movies a bit later on, but yeah, they’re not going to do something like “fix” All Might in a movie like Carlie was hoping, or have anyone in the main cast learn a major secret essentially off screen from the main series

We got some good reactions and funny moments too! Why not enjoy more of this world and lore! It only adds to the connections we gain to all the characters. Plus the author of the manga stated they are meant to be cannon to further extend the story outside of the original work. Alongside the My Hero Academia movies being cannon also the prequel series My Hero Vigilantes
