Carlie is most likely gonna put the characters she likes on the crew and won't be able to put *insert future husbando* into the husbando slot. Ace and Shanks are both top tier husbandos for a lot of fans but they can't make the cut as things are now because they go in the captain slot as well. A lot of potential future husbandos will have similar qualities as well.

2024-10-11 02:15:02 +0000 UTCHere is my idea to sort out the Waifu/Husbando situation. Remove this slot and add another slot to the crew. This could be heart-shaped and so the Waifu/Husbando has to be part of the crew but can also be ranked. This way Carlie could, for example, make Shanks a Husbando in good conscience and still let him be part of the crew. When a new Husbando comes, he takes on the heart shape and may be ranked lower if you are not yet very attached to the character, and Shanks gets a normal slot again. This way you have a new crew slot and the situation with the Waifu/Husbando is sorted. This concept could even be expanded by introducing roles in the crew. For example, a lover is now part of the crew and you could perhaps introduce a guardian slot, which would be the strongest fighter, or the entertainer, a very funny character, etc. All the characters in these slots can still be ranked and not all slots have to be linked to roles. You could also base it on the ship roles, a doctor (Hiriluk or Kureha), a cook (Patty/Zheff), navigator, vice captain, etc., like in the Straw Hats. Throughout the series you get to know many, many characters who have a wide variety of skills and could take on roles, there would definitely be a dynamic. (But that would then take on a whole new concept.) Of course, these are just ideas that you can think about, but the waifu/husbando spot in the crew would solve the problem in my opinion.
