Even if Luffy climbs the drum kingdom mountain with bare hands and feet with 2 crew members on his back, helps Nami without even hearing her story and destroys the map room so that she can feel liberated from Arlong, gives Laboon a purpose to live and not to kill itself from bashing to the Red Line Luffy still never tops Ange's straw hat crew. ๐

2024-10-01 21:58:29 +0000 UTC100% agree that Crocodile is smarter than Kuro. Kuro was a good villain, but his plan basically amounted to "act nice for a few years and then hypnotize Kaya". Plus, he messed up multiple times due to his overconfidence and emotional outbursts. Crocodile's on another level entirely. The fact he's manipulated an entire country to do his bidding for so long is amazing. He's one of my favorite One Piece villains of all time. That's not to say future villains aren't great, cause man do we get some great ones. I also really like Sanji in this arc. At this point in the series, Zoro's my favorite Straw Hat aside from Luffy. But Sanji absolutely shines in this arc. As mentioned before, Crocodile's really smart. The fact Sanji was able to devise a plan in such a short time that drew Crocodile out AND cut him off from the casino is a great showcase of his skills.
