The anime also stands out from most anime because of one particular thing: the main character here is not a child or teenager, and in general everyone except Kikoru is an adult, and you can tell that by the whole chemistry in the anime.

He obviously hates Kaiju with a passion but was able to put that bias aside, absorb the information he was getting, and made an unpopular decision but carried the risk of that choice alone. Put him on the “crap dads who are excellent at their jobs” shelf next to Endeavor

It's fully justified that they cannot trust a kaiju being on the good side and not killing humans because there's no precedence, similar to a demon being on the demon slayer corps. I feel like we need an exposure therapy lol

I was not wrong in thinking you guys would absolutely love it haha! So happy I could get Ange's feedback about the soundtrack too. Some of the best I've heard in recent anime series. I also love how adorable you guys found Kafka's kaiju form to be because I did too HAHAHAH he's an absolute cutie and a GOAT like you said. I love him and Reno and Mina and Hoshino and Kikoru aaah they're all incredible!! Can't wait for season 2 next!! 😍 😍 (sorry I forget but if you haven't already, I highly recommend you guys watch Pacific Rim, it's a movie about Kaiju kinda in a similar setting to this anime and mankind fighting these monsters except with giant robots. It's so good and the soundtrack is incredible! Not asking for a reaction per se (though that would be incredible haha no pressure) but just dropping a movie rec ^^/)
