Clarifications: - All for One thought his brother was Quirkless. But he just had a "useless" Quirk: the Quirk "to pass his Quirk to other". So basically, a useless quirk. Combined with the Quirk to accumulate energy (thanks to All for One gift), it became the useful Quirk called One for All. - Shimura is the 7th holder. - All Might is the 8th. - Deku, the 9th.

2024-09-26 19:59:25 +0000 UTCGonna leave this comment here and on the YouTube version: Make sure you watch the first movie (Two Heroes) BEFORE season 3, it chronologically takes place between seasons 2 and 3. The next two movies aren't until the end of season 5, so you needn't worry about those for now. The movies are all canon, TECHNICALLY they're not needed, but they are anime-canon, and they're PEAK, if Ange reads this, as a comparison for how peak they are would be of all the OG DBZ movies, they'd be the Broly movie! But yeah, worst case you can slip the movie in later if you can't do it soon, it won't be the end of the world if you don't watch it chronologically, but it will make less sense if you don't~

Something about seeing the class train and bond and get stronger in the process really get me hyped up, plus they work as a really good foundation for the episodes with the villain attacks as well, it's like getting to see them put the skills they learn at school to practice in the real world. I also think it is because this show portrays the growing friendship between all of class 1-A in a really good way so we also get invested in their friendship. One of my favourite things about MHA for sure!

Same with Bakugo and Deku. That said, it's not really a ship setup. I mean, there are fans who ship Shoto with Momo lol but canonically there are very few (albeit unconfirmed) ships setup in MHA and Shoto/Momo is not one of them. I'm very excited to see your reactions to their individual developments in the series because it is quite epic! Especially with Shoto. Without spoiling too much, he's a key player in this show :D

AFO had a brother who he thought was quirkless and gave him a quirk which made the brothers quirk stronger and he used it to make OFA and passed it down generations which now deku has it. That’s how I interpreted it, if I made a mistake pls correct me guys :)

2024-09-25 20:15:02 +0000 UTCIt seems that people clarified it already, but just to recap the origin story: All For One's younger brother was thought to be quickness but he actually had the quirk to pass on quirks to others (just like how All might did to Deku). I mean, obviously you would see him as quirkless if that was his only quirk because he has nothing to "pass on"... but once he received the other quirk from his older brother (the quirk to stock power), he now became able to pass on something. So he passed on this combination of quirks (the quirk to pass on quirks + the quirk to stock power), which is called "One for All", the new holders kept failing to beat All for One until All Might's generation came. They mentioned earlier in the series that All Might is the 8th holder of One for All, so this origin story was 8 generations ago, it's not Shigaraki XD. EP20 MVP should be All Might. His delivery of the origin story was brilliant! EP21 MVP can be either Aizawa, or Yaomomo for opening the hall and being bouncy XD

All for one’s quirk is able to steal and give quirks, so in order to give a quirk to someone, he has to steal it first. All might is very far down the succession of One for All, so these events are from back in the past. Shigaraki, is likely in his early 20s here, based on the police investigation at the start of the season. I won’t say anymore, since it could potentially lead to spoilers, but this should clear things up from episode 20
