2024-10-02 20:05:07 +0000 UTCAt this point, I thought Endeavor was a shitty dad but a good hero. I adopted Todoroki's mindset of not forgiving him as a father, but respecting his hero work and rank. As for Stain saving Deku, remember in the previous episode that Stain declared Deku and Todoroki worth keeping alive because they exemplified what it meant to be a hero. Even during the fight, he never tried to kill those two, but rather just tried to immobilize them. So when the Nomu took Deku, along with Stain's side mission to eradicate senseless villains, Stain didn't hesitate to kill the Nomu.

2024-09-20 14:15:37 +0000 UTCStain is a good villain, but his ideals don't hold up at all on closer inspection imo.. I think people give his "values" and "motivations" more credit than he deserves

2024-09-19 23:17:55 +0000 UTCAnge, if possible please stop looking away from the screen while talking during scenes, you're almost missing small but awesome/important instances while doing so, e.g Endeavor's blue flame. A lot of fast paced action moments and meaningful scenes that may appear for an instant which you can miss by looking away.

2024-09-19 22:49:09 +0000 UTCDon't worry Ange, Endeavor is actually a series favorite because of all the things you mentioned this episode, you really nailed his intricacies and flaws. He's top 3 in the series for me and I think you'll understand why

2024-09-19 22:34:44 +0000 UTCSomething to bear in mind about this episode: the scenes with Endeavour taking on the nomus before he hooks up with the UA students is anime-original. It's not in the manga. So don't think too much into the attacks that he uses in those scenes, as they're generally considered non-canon, although they are pretty cool nontheless. Well... not 'cool', since y'know, fire... but you get what I'm saying. ^_^

2024-09-19 20:45:25 +0000 UTCI think Stain is a decent ‘My Hero’ contender. His methods are awful but as they mentioned in the episode, he was the only one fighting for what he believed in without fail in the end. He saved Deku who aligned with his ideals of what a hero is, and turned away from him and toward the ones he deemed fake heroes. He even intimidated everyone present simply with his presence (his murderous intent and conviction). I’m not vouching for his actions, but I think if we’re talking about MVP being the best narrative player in a given episode, Stain has one of the strongest arguments for it. You don’t have to change your MVP because of your audience btw. Just my opinion but this is your segment, not the audience’s. I find it fun to offer new perspectives and show my own opinions in discussing different MVP picks, but I’m not trying to pressure you into changing yours :)
